Wow 2012 you were certainly a feature packed year. Every indie game that flew the flag of release this year expanded our horizons, crushed expectations and fulfilled fantasies. In order to make the battlefield for the 2012 Indie of the Year awards even we have compacted a whole year into 4 different articles to make it easier for you at home to cast your votes. Here is the third article covering July right up until the end of September for twenty dozen.

EXPERIENCE THE REALTIME INTERACTION IN A MOVIE At its core Stay Dead is a 'round beat'em up' like Street Fighter with elements taken from rhythm games. The brand new idea behind Stay Dead is to have a real time interaction inside a cinematographic scene, using the main character as if he would be a videogame character. Stay Dead is the union of movies and videogames. Finally, the sound and graphic quality of a movie joins effectively the interaction of a next generation videogame, creating a unique and involving game experience.

Set in a world of floating islands and airships, the player is tasked with commanding a ship and establishing/defending colonies. Players will be forced to deal with the bizarre creatures that come up from the lower atmospheres to wreak havoc on their airship and settlements, while appeasing the god’s of the land and eventually bending them to the player’s will.

Overcome the weather, vicious animals, injuries, disease, dehydration and famine to build your home on a deserted island. Start out shipwrecked, thirsty and alone. Start your campfire, find weapons and forage for food before the night sets in. Scavenge what you can from what's washed up on the beach; but from then on, you're on your own. Hundreds of items interact in strange and unexpected ways. Travel through beaches, caves and jungles. Swim through lakes and raft over oceans. Search for exotic crafting materials in hidden and deadly locations. Find your way home.
