Still working on 3D Models. After three teams, starting and going mia, ehmm, enough I say. Switching back and continue on my own game, and with the best engine out there for small teams, Unity 3D.
Wow - Just Wow. So much work put in, and an enjoyable play. Thank you team.
w000t Forge tested? Sounds very good.
a bit late to this party...
Still, thanks for giving little guys the extra attention. :)
Very good idea.
Hopefully it will help the indie devs to succeed faster now.
Looks like a lot of TLC (tender loving care) is going into this project.
As for commercial prospects, go for it. Games don't have to be AAA. As long as they can be played, it's a game in my books.
Oh wow. Love horses anyway, and this is a great addition to your game.
Took the words right out of my mouth.
Love the engine still, but their business model is somewhat questionable, but then again I too am only a small developer 'hopefull' :(
I somewhat disagree with the wiki.
Amazon deleted the netcode and replaced it with their AWS code and added twitch. The core, that what makes the Cryengine the Cryengine, an optimized make-you-look-good engine, is somewhat unchanged when compared to the latest Eaas Version.
Crytek will continue develop their engine, with its proven staff, and Amazon in turn has yet to show us what they can do with it.
Competition is always good for the end users.
All the best to Amazon, though. I hope they profit from their investment.
I filled out the survey, but under option for reading about games, only moddb was offered, not one single hint about indiedb.
indiedb is the site I get most of my game info from.
@ Milanium - Then feel free to delete my post.
Not sure ... I have had no problem supporting IndieDB to explicitly keep my Addblock running.
I don't watch TV or listen to the radio. The only advertisement I have to accept is in the paper (Wall Street Journal).
All I am doing is creating assets for my (our) game. Those assets I (we) am creating is expensive. The software and hardware alone go into the thousands of dollars. So if you guys need more cash for the site, no problem, but adblock will stay.
Oh yes, OpenGL and Linux = unbelievable, or at least unexpected!
One of the best updates so far.
Thank you and the entire team, for all the hard work that went into this project.
Playing a bit tonight, and much more this weekend; then I will leave a proper comment.
I voted ATI. I use FirePro for my workstation, no issues, and the costs are reasonable. Yes, NVidia is sort of on top, but I don't need on top stuff to make a profit. :D
Just got the update. The shots look sweet.
Long wait? Nah. Good things take time, and I think you guys had a much harder time working on this. :D
To get get on a list for accepting adds is like asking for my left eye. Call me anti-add maniac.
As soon as the bank clears it, (I don't have a true credit card), IndieDB will get a subscription from me. You guys hosted my silly stuff for years. Thank you for this from the bottom of my heart. Consider your looove returned, in less than 24 hours from now. :)
Luv Hank aka Taamalus or Phoenix
A lot of good games, yet I managed to click on the wrong (not intended) one. :(
No clue how to undo.
Still, it's only one vote - may the truly best game win :D
Thanks for becoming my friend here at indiedb. Your work is exceptional.
Hank (aka Phoenix and Tamaalaus)
Just saying hello.
Thanks for accepting me as your friend. I like your voice, and when I am done with my 3D model, hopefully we can teach her how to speak.
In the mean time, all the best

Perhaps it depends on what I understood Game Publishing to mean.
I thought it means: Game won, someone will publish it to Xbox, PS4, Wii, Androit etc.
But I think this need to be to two way street. The proverbial ten minutes are find out if the price is in our best interest.
Do we want our game to be published through them?
If not (I know one publisher I will never to business with), ten minutes is enough, to explain to them politely, that it's our game, and they can publish it only for PC.
If yes, are they interested in our other projects, where do they see them in five years, can we build a long term relationship, oops tem minutes are up, when shall we meet again.
I can't vote, it bounces me back.
Thus - Help with 'game publishing', even if it is just a 10 minute one on one talk with a credible publisher.
... don't forget, best priced engine as well. :D
I just hope you guys will win. If not, I still have the mod to play with.
Looking through Stratosfear, wow, all the best.
Hopefully the Go-Ahead from moddb won't take long. This is a phenomenal update. Item one, is not easy to implement for example. Neither to give head-shots counts to actors. Can't wait to test this :D
As for the skill levels, is that an additional skill level?
I don't understand. If you are a developer, you will have to put in some cash and time in your project and gather a team if you want to make the next CoD. With Crytek you could develop the game, and make a deal with Crytek when your corporation is ready to go public. This is a sweet deal, methinks, very sweet. No overhead. ;)
would be your first source for artwork, other then that, stay here to make your own game out of it, methinks.
I voted "familiar". I think that most engines are flexible enough for different game styles. Still, Crytek is based C++ and uses Lua scripts - so my responce is based on languages.
Is there a tutorial on the how too?
@ feather240; for PS3 and/or Xbox support you need to contact Crytek directly, yet, you can develop on multi platforms.
As for C, I doubt this would work ;)
Also, as of today I'm fan! Awesome looks, and codes, etc. Yes, other cool SDKs are out there, but ... love at first sight :D
