February 23rd 1968 - The Tet Offensive, using tunnels and trails across Cambodia and Laos, the VC manage to sneak thousands of troops across the border of South Vietnam, thus resulting in the Battle of Huế, VC troops breaking into the city and securing a majority of the City, the US Marines who held the Phú Bài Airstrip in the city, attempts to break out using M48 Patton tanks and head across to the Perfume River
In this picture 2 M48 Pattons can be seen alongside US Marines, in an attempt to breakout of the city, however running into NVA T-62s, the 2 armoured beasts collide with a hail of gunfire
