Unbreakable is a hack and slasher with a difference. Merging RTS and RPG mechanics with smooth combat, we hope to create an experience that can be enjoyed over and over again. The Dracorians, a race of dragon tamers, have started a war that threatens to cover the continent in the ash of the fallen. The Elves, their vast expanse of land nothing but charred remains, have taken a stand in their last remaining city of Sylva. To prevent the advance of the Dracorian horde, three towers have been raised, creating a barrier that protects the rest of Arthos from harm; one in the Elven city, one in the northern fortress of Ellental, and one on the coast to the south. Each tower harbors a crystal, and while all three remain intact the Dracorians are unable to send their army in its entirety. Unfortunately, the barrier is not impenetrable. Each tower requires protection against the still formidable force that threatens them, forcing the Elves to call on the race of Men to aid them.

Alpha 0.0.2

News

Hey there!

It's been almost a month since the first alpha became playable, and two weeks later we released a patch that fixed and improved almost the entire look of the game, as well as a number of new mechanics and upgraded older ones. We've been working around the clock to build on each alpha as they're released to you, and as a result we have some great things in the pipeline that are likely to be in the next few patches planned. We're also working hard to make sure the game is optimised for a broad range of PC's, so that anyone can play without fear of intense lag or frame-rate drops.

We've also been deep in discussion regarding new aspects of the game to make the experience that much more fun, and also to give you, the player, incentive to explore the game to its fullest. Over the next few months we'll be adding a new battlefield and a new character (as you may be well aware), but we'll also be adding new defensive options, up to five different weapon types (that will alter the ability sets that you can use, allowing for multiple play styles), and a four-stage setup that will change as you play the game, depending on your success throughout. We also have a number of other plans in the works but we'll be releasing details for them as soon as we're happy with the content surrounding Ellental's Fortress.

As for now, we'd like to hear what you think! There have been a few videos floating around from ThatInsaneDane on YouTube, which you can find below, but in order for us to create the best game we can we need to see how you all play! So by all means, film away and send us your videos or even just your thoughts - what you liked, what you didn't, and what you think we can change/do better. Your feedback means a lot, and it will allow us to cater our experience to fit your playstyle and preferences.

If you'd like to see any of our latest screenshots, come over to the Desura page - unfortunately at present we're unable to upload screenshots to ModDB (technical issues!) but as soon as we can we'll update this page. The installer for the latest version of the game is available here too, so download away and let us know what you think!
