Blight is a 3D hack ‘n slash, action/horror role playing game set in the post apocalyptic medieval fantasy world of Berigan. It features a unique blend of traditional Hack ‘N Slash Combat, with the addition of several werewolf inspired abilities for added combat flavour. Blight also features a secondary strategy based element, which makes use of the talents of fellow survivors. Players can retake necessary resources to capitalise on this. Rebuild and reinforce the pockets of resistance, as well as the vulnerable resources from the Blighted hordes. Train and arm a militia to help defend these resources, as well as assist in the final battle are necessary to achieving victory. One individual cannot be expected achieve victory alone.
It's been a couple of months since the last update, but we've all been hard at work on the game since then. This is a pretty hefty update.
We've also have some fresh new additions to the team, we now have a dedicated animator and additional character rigger/animator on the project. We also have a Blueprints expert piecing everything together.
There's a lot of new fresh concept art in this update, ranging from characters, props all the way to a specialist armour type.
We now have a dedicated animator and character rigger/animator on the project. Our main character, Storm has now been complete rigged and has several key animations roughly created for use in game.
We also did some quick expressions to show the face rig, there's still a bit more to do there, but I'm really pleased with how this is looking so far.
Here's a video showcasing the animations and poses.
A lot of new props and geometry has been created to assist with the level building. There's still plenty more to go and especially as we want to give each race their own furniture sizes and designs.
Some of you may remember the prototype environment we were using in earlier updates.
We've now rebuilt that entirely and begun adding some rough textures to try and get an idea of how we want the level to look. There's still a lot of work to do on this but here's a sneak peak of how it's shaping up so far.
We've been working hard so we could show a video of how environment and animations in game look.
That's it for this update, which was probably our biggest to date.
Next update we'll showcase the development of the AI, which is currently looking very promising. We'll also have more visuals and animations.
News on the project and its progress, including a new art style, a brand new character model, environments and some funky concepts.
Switch over from Unity 5 to UE4, new concept art, sculpting progress and a new grey box environment.
New concept art, sculpt progress, AI and camera improvements and the start of the new environment.

This looks awesome! I love werewolves and I can't seem to find enough werewolf games out there. I'm looking forward to this! Here is some advice. You guys should put up ads for this game so it will have a better chance of getting funded on Kickstarter. I hope you guys share more info with us soon!
Thanks, we'll definitely be advertising when we're closer to getting ready for Kickstarter.
There's been some major changes since the last update, which is why I haven't updated in a while.
I hope to get some updates soon, but I want to get some more progress down before I do.
I'm definitely keeping an eye on this one. I've been begging for some good Werewolf games for ages, especially ones that are original, fresh, and unique from other entries of Werewolf games. So far this looks like it's set to deliver in every way. THANK YOU SO MUCH! The drought of non-cliche werewolf title's both in movies and video games has been driving me absolutely crazy. Do you guys have a kick-starter or anything? I will gladly support your project anyway that I can, I don't have a lot to donate though but I can chip in something at least.
Hey, thanks for the kind words on the project!
We don't have a Kickstarter right now. I'd really like us to get a demo put together to go with that.
The switch from Unity to UE4 has slowed us down a fair bit but it's been worth it so far.
I've heard a lot of good things about UE4 actually. I've been thinking about trying to get back into trying to make a game myself but I have absolutely no knowledge of programming or anything. LOL
The blueprint system is pretty good actually so check that out.
Sorry for the late reply, I will do here at some point. I have a narrative story I want to tell in the form of an adventure/puzzle game about a different take on what the "curse of the werewolf" is instead of the general cliche that dominates the movies and games.
Want to see more it is cool so far will be watching this!!
Thanks, hope to show more cool stuff in the coming weeks too.
