Unbreakable is a hack and slasher with a difference. Merging RTS and RPG mechanics with smooth combat, we hope to create an experience that can be enjoyed over and over again. The Dracorians, a race of dragon tamers, have started a war that threatens to cover the continent in the ash of the fallen. The Elves, their vast expanse of land nothing but charred remains, have taken a stand in their last remaining city of Sylva. To prevent the advance of the Dracorian horde, three towers have been raised, creating a barrier that protects the rest of Arthos from harm; one in the Elven city, one in the northern fortress of Ellental, and one on the coast to the south. Each tower harbors a crystal, and while all three remain intact the Dracorians are unable to send their army in its entirety. Unfortunately, the barrier is not impenetrable. Each tower requires protection against the still formidable force that threatens them, forcing the Elves to call on the race of Men to aid them.

Happy Valentines Day to all of you – we hope you’re enjoying it! This week has been an eventful one of sorts – while we’re still awkwardly shuffling forward with Desura (more on that in a moment), we’ve been able to add a lot more to the game’s first patch. Happy Valentines Day to all of you – we hope you’re enjoying it!

This week has been an eventful one of sorts – while we’re still awkwardly shuffling forward with Desura (more on that in a moment), we’ve been able to add a lot more to the game’s first patch. We’ve been toying with the lighting to suit Unbreakable’s setting more, and we’ve managed to increase the enemy numbers to a respectable 250 per wave (we’re still aiming to raise the bar on that one). We’ve also been concepting some new Dracorians, and a new map to go with it, the latter of which we’ll begin showing off once Ellental’s Fortress is available to play. We’re incredibly proud of how much we’ve improved Ellental’s since we sent it off to Desura, so expect to see a massive graphical enhancement in the first patch following the game’s release!

We’re also in sore need of animators – we've already posted in a few places but if you or anyone you know can rig/animate and would like to work with us for some industry experience for their portfolios, please get in touch. Projects will range from animating human characters to the more feral Dracorians, and you’ll be able to bring your own ideas to the table as well – simply email us at justlabyrinthinteractive@gmail.com with any examples of work and a small piece about yourself, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can!

Now, onto the status of the alpha. While we’ve been working hard on the first patch this week, we’ve also been trying to fix whatever problems are arising with Unbreakable’s files. We’ve contacted Desura for clarification, but until we receive a response we’re unable to do anything about it. A few of you have been in touch about Desura’s client allowing you to download the game files, but please do not do so – we’re aware that the game crashes upon trying to open it, but as far as we know this is a new development (the install files we sent to Desura worked perfectly beforehand). So please – do not try to download the game, and we’ll be sure to let all of you know when we hear anything.
