Open-Source reimplementation of Westwood’s Command & Conquer: Red Alert game engine, updated to use the hardware acceleration of modern video cards using OpenGL and OpenAL for sound playback. It runs natively on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. The game was designed with modifiability in mind, but is not identical to the original. Campaigns and mods made for the legacy game won't work out of the box.

Neat! It's pretty similar too, I can hear the Red Alert tatatatatata sound when I watch that :P

What would make it more like the RA1 strafe is that when the strafing run continues even if the targeted unit has been killed. Now it just stops firing as soon as that specific unit is dead, while in RA1 it would continue with the burst no matter what.

Description

Scott is currently working on a strafing logic for aircraft (remember the classic RA95 yak behavior). This sneak peak shows some work in progress that takes the original idea to a next level.
