A 2d modular spaceship game, build/design your ship while you play, explore, escort or help other ships, exterminate pirates and use the remaining modules as part of your ship or recycle them for parts for upgrades or repairs with more than 20 different module types, more than 10 different missions and many different environments that affect how you maneuver and survive, black holes, white holes and many other space anomalies, choose the power distribution of your ship between weapons, shields, thrusters, tractor beams, and many other modules.
The game is physics driven so expect things to behave like in space, you just drift in space, mass of modules and many other factors affect how your ship fly and how fast it can accelerate. Many different weapons like energy weapons and kinetic weapons with limited ammo/missiles/torpedos, and only one life expect to have a though time trying to get to the end, get your command center destroyed and you are done.
Board ships to help others or to take over enemy ships, defend yourself from space pirates and more!

There are several forces experienced inside spaceships, I haven't seen any game with those forces accounted yet. For example if you leave on the floor your equipement and your ship accelerates and turns at the same time all the stuff should move around if friction can't hold those items on the floor, in this small example all the stuff left on the floor is bouncing around my ship because I made it accelerate and turn in circles at the same time.
Acceleration also affect crew members and if not properly sit they will fly and get hurt, so it will be very important to keep your ship tidy and clean and everything stored properly. Also in absence of gravity things will move faster until hit something and that can be anything and at the same time those items will get damaged if not stored.
In the past few months had a though time rethinking many things about the game, space was the first one, and science on the next one.
Lots of new things added to the game since my last post here, if you want to see all the details please check the daily log up
Added food!, yeah hamburguers, pizza and many other things, even ramen!, my crew got tired of eating the boring space survival food rations so I finally...
Electronic components now play a major role in system performance of your ship. Injury system was added to crew members in great details, the next logical...

Curious what tool set you used to make the game: Unity, Gamemaker, etc;
C# and XNA
Any update on when any demo/trial version will be released? (i dont mind alpha/betas). I like the look of it so far :).
Planning to have an alpha release by early next year, during the first quarter, I just want to make sure most of the internal systems and crew actions do work together and finish some more art. Space battles do mostly work but internals still need some more work and polish.
when will be a demo or trial be release?
At this moment I don't have a specific date, but given the current development status I think an alpha/beta version will be on playtest by end of november, and targeting a first release on XBLIG in December before Christmas, the PC version will follow after or around that time if everything goes as planned. Still haven't tested the current build on XBOX, on PC basic missions are working now, but still there is a lot to do in the next few weeks.
um, sorry for this stupid question (and I know your trying to have income to this game or something) but will you release this game (either in alpha or beta or even the full version if it will be finish) to be free? or will we pay for the game to play for free?
ok
Nice
