Survive 2120 Lahaina
Restored from incomplete data found in a recently discovered Veilcorp back-up system, players find themselves in a future Hawaii ravaged by the fracture and the effects of time. Players must search for food, water, and shelter in order to survive. Dangers include animals, mutants, other players, and lingering environmental effects.
Crafting and Building
The harvesting and crafting systems provide players access to equipment, gear, and upgradeable weapons, including many traditional Hawaiian weapons. The construction system allows players to build bases for protection using 4 different materials thatch, wood, stone, or metal.
Open World
Procedural building, road, and river systems offer players unique worlds and settings to explore as well as places for mutants and other dangers to lurk. A dynamic weather system and day/night cycles highlight a map based on the existing roads and topographical data of West Maui.
Co-op Play and Autonomous Drones
Group together to explore, share resources, engage powerful opponents, and rebuild the world that once was. Powered by machine learning, autonomous drones patrol the map streaming gameplay. Focusing on a variety of actions and filming in standard, night-vision, spotlight, and thermal modes, these cameras offer players and spectators alike a unique view of the game in real-time.

Come on In
Mele Kalikimaka from everyone here at Fractured Veil! Even though it’s a short holiday week we still managed to fix a number of issues our testers helped find in our play sessions and make a few improvements. We’d also like to introduce our Green Lady, a new addition to the mutant family coming in 2021. She’s going to make you think twice about leaving your presents under the tree….
First on our list were a couple of upgrades to our construction system. Door locks now require players with door permissions to also input the password to get in, and we fixed a bug with some foundation pieces not lining up correctly.
Many of you told us that you wanted the ability to build smelters on the landscape as well as construction pieces and functionality for the construction tool to recycle pieces along with the upgrade tool. We added both this week to help streamline the building process.
Out of the Box
We fixed a handful of inventory and container bugs too. We resolved a problem where keys would get stuck when alt-tabbing in the inventory menu, and an issue with the interact widget display when viewing items that were on or next to a construction object. We fixed the infamous server crash bug when picking up stacked items from the ground and putting them in a container and a bug that would duplicate items when swapping a non-stackable item with a stackable one.
