Cannot find Default.cfg error??
Cannot find Default.cfg error??
I like where this game is going. However..the controls...are they going to change?? Cause i cant hardly do anything with them the way they are now. I have tried all the different options, but its still hardly usable. I would suggest something like along the lines of World of Warcraft mouse movement. They just feel really solid to me. While i play this as of right now, i try and click or move the character with my mouse, and he keeps doing his attack move every few steps. I cant seem to get it to stop.
Thanks!
Great work so far!
Still waiting for that Linux version!!
getting this error from ./love64. error while loading shared libraries: libIL.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Any ideas?
Linux Mint 15 64bit Cinnamon Edition
OMG, i have been waiting so long for this game to come out on Linux. I am so excited right now. THANK YOU for the Linux version!.. Just purchased it.
Most excellent storyline. It was so crazy and messed up. I have been thinking about it for days. Wish the game was longer, but it was fun. Great game, but to those who are new to it. This game isn't a play to win. You must follow the storyline. This is what the game is all about. Yes it doesn't have as much interaction as TDD, but it was a fun experience.

Any update on the Linux version? or is that not going to happen
I think this project is dead.
For the ones who did buy this...well it looks like they took our money and ran.
Congrats on your Desura Linux release Jabber :)

Just tried it on my desktop running Linux Mint 14 64bit Cinnamon Edition. With the following Specs: AMD Phenom 2 six core, 16gb DDR3 Ram, Nvidia GTX550 Ti 2gb video card. The result was different. On my laptop it opened in a window. On the desktop it went into a huge resolution at fullscreen. I couldn't move the mouse at all. It just wouldn't budge.
Im running a Acer V3-771G laptop with a quad core i5, 6gbs ram, and a Nvidia GT 640M 2gb video card. Using Peppermint OS Three 32bit.
I can record a video of what it is doing if you would like. I did get as far as being able to move around and look a little bit. The movement with the mouse seems so slow, and it keeps trying to spring back to it's locations before movement. Also the character seems to not be standing straight up most of the time. There are times where the gun is inside the floor, and or im on my side laying on the ground, or upside down.
Tried the tech demo in Linux, and it still wont work. The mouse gets stuck looking at the sun, and i cant move around. Cant fire the gun. When i alt tab to a different window, and move my mouse around in the game window..it works just fine. When will this get fixed?
Awesome! Have fun!

try running it in a different resolution? like so in a terminal "./opt/dreadout-demo/dreadout-demo -screen-width 2732 -screen-height 768". Or try another resolution. Looks like it's crashing while changing resolutions. Adding the resolution flags wont change it to window mode. It will just change the fullscreen resolution.
Good Luck!

Working very well with Optimus Nvidia GT 640M 2gb video card with both "optirun" and "primusrun", in Peppermint OS Three 32bit Linux. Very good looking and scary themed game. I will be purchasing the full version.

Going to test this on Peppermint OS Three 32bit with (nvidia Optimus). Using bumblebee via "optirun" and "primusrun". Nvidia driver 319.12

Needs a Linux version. We have UE3 support in Linux. So it shouldn't be hard.
Just to rant about something.. ..but gawd damnit i hate having to sign up for all these forums from different companies in order to get support. I hate having all those accounts, when most of the time i just need help on one thing. Then i never see that forum again.
This company is a joke. I dont think Linux should even be listed as a supported OS. If it took them this long to finally say "Oh we just started to test it", then that shows you how much they care about it. I dont see much hope in this project.
Yeah i was wondering why the linux build went so long with a bug, and why the dev ignored all of our comments about it.
Hope we get a Linux version of the Demo soon!
How is that 64bit Linux client coming along? last time i got e-mailed i was told it was still being packed together.
I hope you have a Linux box yourself so you can actually see this issue. It is starting to get very annoying.
Yeah..... Mouse still stuck up at the skybox. I have not been able to play this game because of it, since it came out. Could you please fix that issue!
Will this update fix that mouse stuck towards the skybox issue in Linux?
