I'm just a simple 3D Modeller and Animator
We've suspected that Total Decay will have to be cancelled since early June, and we've been making preparations for it since then. Now, August 4th 2013, Total Decay lays cancelled and hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars have been invested into it.
Despite this, however, we don't view the game as a failure, simply a learning opportunity. All of us at Lunar Blast Interactive have learned lessons about game development, and we've learned hard lessons that will help us with future projects.
We've passed early concepts for our next game, and we've entered early pre-production in our next game already, but we don't feel confident enough about it to make any stable announces yet.
What I can reveal, however, is that we've been working on a CGI trailer for it since Wednesday, and we hope to have it ready within the next month or so. The trailer will likely go onto YouTube first to see people's initial reaction, and then, once we have enough to make an announcement, we'll create a ModDB page for the game. Beyond that, we're hoping the trailer will also help us fund the game via Kickstarter, since our last campaign failed mainly because of the low quality trailer.
Not much can be said about the game yet, but here's what we know (and want to reveal) so far:
That's about all there is to say about the game that would make sense at this point. Keep an eye out for updates, if it sounds like something you'd be interested in. We'll try to upload something within the next month or so in order to get the game out there.
