Hex Trams is a minimalistic public transport simulator game. Its basic design is super simple - you don't have to worry about repairing trams, hiring stuff, etc. - the main focus is on the logistic part of business: building tracks and stations, planning tram routes and dispatching trams to the lines.
One of the core game mechanics is also a dynamic city growth - the more people are satisfied with your transport network, the more the city is likely to expand. It also means you can control which areas of the city you want to expand by delivering a good communication with other parts of city into these areas.

Each passenger spawned passenger is given an individual satisfaction level based on how long it took him to travel to destination (proportionally to the distance). The time spent waiting for the tram is also included in the calculation.
When passengers from some particular building are reporting high level of satisfaction, there is a high chance that its neighborhood will soon expand - increasing number of potential passengers (and $) from that area.

Maps

The plan is to include 10 predefined maps and a random map generator.The maps will vary in city layout, size and mission goals: besides collecting money, you will be challenged with taking care of city overall satisfaction level or attracting more population to the city.
