Report RSS Progress update

I make a brief update on what has been going on with my game project. In short, there are some new level graphics, some tweaking on the AI and a bit more of invisible behind the scene stuff. Also there is a new video.

I am releasing a new video along with this news. Again, it shows mostly the particle system and the rag dolls (though they are both very central to the game), but also some new level graphics that I made this previous weekend:

I've made some progress on the game. The main thing is that I got to work on it again after a long time — almost three months! Apart from the level graphics I tweaked the AI's aiming a bit. It's still very weird looking so I won't be showing it yet, but it's a bit more effective now.
I've also made the start for displaying speech above characters' heads. This is also briefly visible in the new video.

Some time has gone into behind the scene stuff as well. Things that are helpful for me when I develop; the console has more debugging options, and as you can see in the screen below — line of sight for the characters and physical objects (Box2D):

I started to make a grenade weapon. So far I've only made the projectiles that fly away and tied that to a key. In the video there are a few sequences in the end where bodies fly around — that is the aftermath of multiple grenades going off at the same time.

That was it for this time! Check out the video and please leave a comment!
