After ten weeks of hard working on our maps, Maverick collected 8 maps which are now going to be judged by SyncError (from id Software), Anthem (from Q3W and Teameventhorizon.com), Andrew "gellehsak" Ryder, and Joe "nineX" Szymkowicz (from Readyupradio.com). The judging mappack can be downloaded here (a final mappack will be uploaded here, too, when it's done): Judging Mappack 2012
Note: Be sure you delete every other old versions of all maps (meaning any betas or alphas), included in the pack, so no texture or shader confusion can happen ingame.
Sadly, there had been a lot of dropouts during the last days: noruen, g0th, nyoshk (he finished his map after the deadline so go grab it: Maverickservers.com), Sprony van Johnson, pat howard... just to name a few.
So here are some Before / After screens, so you see what happens during the whole level designing process (you hopefully could see it already in the screenshots I posted here in the old articles):

Have fun playing our maps and maybe you will join next time?

P.S.: Sorry for not updating this group every week, as intended... really had no time. I hope you had some good minutes reading the interviews, though.
Can you download this game engine ?
Great, I can make Free to Play game
This engine was also used with some of the consoles games like the 007 games for example, too bad they weren't available on pc though.
WHERE IS McGee Alice ???
"...id Tech 3 was the engine used to create games such as Quake II Arena..."
We have a TYPO here! :D
But i'd love to see Quake II Arena though ;)
GladiatorBot for Quake2's a pretty accurate approximation considering they're directly related
I really really wish someone.. someone can use this engine to remake the entire game of Heretic for us to play again of feeling of those childhood Nostalgia time.
Hmmm ill try!
prob the best game engine ever, just look at all the varied games thats based on it 8and then look at how many, or few, games thats built on the sad Xray engine lol.....)
WE LOVE YOU ID SOFTWAREEEEEEEE!
