Post Kickstarter Update #3

Hello everyone! Today we're bringing you a new project update.

It's been a busy month for us here in the studio. Between programming new features into the game, implementing player feedback, and partaking in gaming conventions.

New Systems Complete: Elevators, Switches and moving platforms.

Before tackling our last major game system (Weapon Customization) We've decided to direct our attention to any additional tool that could help us enrich our level design experience - both for the designer and for the player.

Enter Elevators, Switches and moving platforms.

These systems will allow us to take a much more open-ended approach when designing levels from the ground up. Buck will be able to activate switches with certain, pre-determined parameters; activating hidden elevators or platforms, unlocking doors and previously inaccessible paths. The end result should not only add a vertical playing field for players to explore, but will enforce the more "Metroidvania" aspect of BUCK which we've been eager to implement.

These systems should be implemented in our next Kickstarter Early Access Patch which is aimed for 23/11/2016.

Implementing player feedback and backer rewards.

Some of our more avid community members and most-notably, Early Access Backers, are already talking with us on our Discord Channel.

The aforementioned patch will include minor tweaks and changes based on your feedback. Changes to Buck's dodge distance and invulnerability window, movement tweaks and improvements, alongside other technical refinements.

We've also started to implement some in-game backer rewards.

Say hello to Punch, one of our Early Access Backer's pet, turned into a post-apocalyptic buccaneer.

Note: Any backer who's pledge includes an in-game reward that features their pets, should have already received two emails from us. Implementing pets into the game takes time, so please make sure you send us your pet's pictures as soon as possible.

We're having an absolute blast chatting with you guys live, but if Discord doesn't strike your fancy, please leave us your thoughts on our Steam Forum Page,We ready everything. (If you've already activated your Early Access Game Key on Steam, you'll have an Early Access Forum Thread waiting for you there!)

Gaming Conventions - GameIN.

We had the pleasure to showcase BUCK, alongside many other local independent developers, in the Microsoft produced, GameIN convention. Truly one of the biggest gaming events to occur in Israel to date, and it's been an overwhelmingly positive experience for us!

It's a rare thing for an independent game developer to be sitting next to a player who's playing your game for the first time. You learn A LOT about what works and, more importantly, what doesn't.

As BUCK paces ever onward towards release, we've made it our goal to make sure the release build of the game will be as smooth and accessible as possible.

Player feedback was outstanding, with many positive and encouraging compliments about out art-style, gameplay and overall presentation and experience.

A big thanks to everyone who sat down to play BUCK and a huge thanks to GameIN for inviting us!

We're also taking part in Casual Connect conference between the 1st and 3rd of November. BUCK has been entered in the Indie Prize competition alongside other independent developers.

That about wraps it up! Next update will include more gameplay updates and an update to the Early Access Build. Until then, here are some screenshots of the new area we're working on:
