Can only say 2016 at this stage
Would like to except the sounds and music are all copyrighted and licensed to the particular films, we just can't use copyrighted work without consent or the payment of a rather large fee ...
Yes reloading a Beaumont Adams revolver is not quick, found a video where the guy used a picnic table to get it reloaded, it wasn't easy. We have considered this.
Some objectives require a specific number of soldiers to escape or survive (pregame setting) also Zulu players reload with spears by getting them from their AI. Not to mention 1 against many may prove a tad hard especially if the game is set to realistic where player death ends game ...
Not confirmed as yet possibly for a minimum:
OS: Windows XP
Processor: Dual Core 2.3 GHz or better
Memory: 2 GB RAM
Graphics: NVidia GeForce 8800, ATI/AMD Radeon HD 2400 (NVidia GeForce 8800, ATI/AMD Radeon HD 2400)
Unsure, it's an option we are still working out
Yes would love more, don't forget there are around 70 very intelligent NPC's controlled by the players + many more less intelligent NPC's that the Zulu control at times. There are PC and network limitations we need to consider in MP.
That's really interesting to hear. Can't commit to release dates yet, still got loads to do but it certainly should be 2015
Thanks appreciate any feedback and yes agree. Its a pre-alpha build so many tweaks/updates yet to be added
You can play as single player or in a 4 person co-op. Our latest beta is available with 2 playable maps, the Attic and Beach maps. The Beach also has vehicles ...
The news items has more detail or see the downloads page at www.toywarsinvasion.com/comj/phpBB3/index.php
Yep only have 1 map available at this stage, will release another later which should have vehicles.
Enemies, not every enemy appears in every map. The Attic has 6 types of enemy plus a further 6 variations of the punks, that's 12 in all. Its random as to what path you follow and combination of enemy that may appear.
Apologies my bad, I somehow missed this comment ...
The beta will be released very very soon. We found some unexpected bugs which just had to be fixed, its all taken more time and energy then expected such that other things just got neglected whilst we fixed them.
Nah not nitpicky, good constructive feedback.
The images don't really show it but the walls have appropriate wallpaper for the setting.
The map was designed from my local center, the floors are hard with use of mats to stop falls (helps in cleaning apparently). Yep, could probably do with a few more mats, there are quite a few already on the ground.
Also you can't see some of the other play pens, the type that are caged with lots of smaller plastic balls.
Lighting am still tweaking, the ambiance of the map looks better dim as opposed to fully lit, but yeah the lights probably should be switched off or replaced with lights that dim.
Hmmm books ... agree.
Green is for good
The event went well last night. One Life Left recorded it for a radio broadcast on the 20th May, I'm the first guest they interview if you want to hear my ramblings ...
I'll post a reminder nearer the time of its broadcast
I can now see the UDK option and have now changed the profile entry from UE3
Thought that was why you were asking. Yeah IndieDB only have choices for the Unreal Engine 1,2,3,4 in their selection box for the game profile, there is no UDK to select. But as I said UDK is effectively the same thing as UE for a gamer.
To clarify the UDK is not inferior to UE3.
UDK has the same features, tools etc as UE3. Difference is that UE3 is packaged differently plus a few license differences that impact the developer and distributor such as payment model to Epic, access to source code, Epic support, and access to additional release platforms i.e. consoles and android.
From a gamer's perspective the end product is the same, Toy Wars developed under UE3 or UDK would be the same.
Yes we are using the UDK.
Agree and yes they would be cool (we find your imagination never stops with this game), we do have the wizard (not the mini's) who has such a feature although he glides not hops across the floor (well he is a wizard after all).
We are doing some closed alpha tests on some maps now, still a bit to do but we are tracking well. Can't say exactly but am looking at a summer time scale
pixabyte.tv have an alpha copy, will update once I know more myself
We expect to have a MAC release, so yes
I prefer Swiss chocolate easter bunnies than eggs, the ones with a cute ribbon and bell ... ;)
Thanks. She'll see the light of day, she's tracking well :)
Cheers, we appreciate all feedback
