Please tell me there's a way to completely reset your trade mode progress. I'm basically out of money and supplies.
Please don't consider this as spam, but I didn't get a reply to what I posted previously. It sounds important and might just not have been noticed, so I'll repost it:
I found that a drone frigate/destroyer can build called a "UNH bomber drone", the description saying please report that you can build this. The unit limit was reached so technically I couldn't build it, but the option was still there.
Thank you, I got it fixed.
There was also something I found: that a drone frigate/destroyer can build called a bomber drone (or something), the description saying please report if you can build this. The unit limit was reached so technically I couldn't build it, but the option was still there.
Aaaand I wish I could say that.
That little end bit just made my day. THANKS!
Most of the ship names, game settings etc. are things like $3977 (and other 4 digit numbers following dollar signs). Is this normal...?
Crashes when starting a skirmish mode... Is the v1.1 patch needed to run this?
Ok, how does this not work?
Release\Homeworld2.exe" -mod HWAT_0_2_21_1_bigFile.7z
Hi, been looking at all the media for the mod and it looks really good! Could I get some instructions on how to install this though, please? I've been failing to install every HW2 mod I've downloaded for that matter.
Woo! Hooray! Happiness!
Strange... On the tutorial where you first encounter guards, there seem to be invisible barriers everywhere around the level and certain walls can be walked through. Guards' motion patterns are screwed up and it's impossible to get beyond that point.
Won't launch correctly... just gives a white screen. Suggestions?
Definitely needs a graphics-crappifying option, otherwise I can't play. 5 hours of download with power outages and lost connections for no resason... :l
2.5GB? With a 30kb/s download speed, it better be good...
Know what's fun? On my server I'll bury a full block of eight ammo crates in the middle of an island and blow them up. Good fun... intense lag however x)
Uh... I can't not let him free, the options seem to be stuck on one option. The End This file I have contained nothing about a boss. Just the bright hallway with the "kill me" and the figure on the ground. When apporaching it, credits.
Intruiging... sadly I'm cheap enough to only go for free stuff >_<
Tracking however, looks nice.
*may contain spoilers*
I seem to be both stuck and have also... skipped everything. I got up to to 6 files (Space Blaster, pn01, Play Me, I live, L 002 7 2, headline reader). I figured out the I Live document's secrets (although not sure what the hidden code refered to) and I was pretty sure that I've done every possible thing I could to continue. Then I randomly found an End This file which seemed to contain the end sequences. I honestly feel like I somehow missed a huge portion of the game...
I kinda thought the same for myself but I find them ok for now, although a change would be welcome in my mind.
Nice! Too bad that the server population is dropping although I do think that this next update should bring at least some people back online.
Definitely needs some more ways to prevent radar from detecting your ships. I find these ideas reasonable...
Become cloaked from radar by:
-deactivating all generators and thrusters, as well as radars of your own
-an expensiveish cloaking device (larger ships will need more than one)
-destroying your own spawn core (the radar will need to be adjusted to only detect cores, not chunks)
-covering yourself completely in natural island materials (logs/leaves, dirt, rock, sand)
This last one is my favorite, this way people can trade armor strength for stealth. If not wanting to create a hull out of weak blocks, people could instead bury themselves into an island. Personally I think this is a good idea.
Lastly speaking of radars, I've heard the idea of having a better 2x2 radar "superblock". I like this idea, and the superblock could also provide better and more accurate ship info. With 4 times the space, it would be easy to display the size and equipment of the ship as well as providing smoother shapes out of the orange blocks.
Yeah, my laptop has an integrated one too. Had to switch PCs.
On an unrelated note I'd like to suggest the addition of wires and buttons (and possibly switches). This way one could wire up several cannons and then fire them with the push of a button, reducing crew requirements for large vessels. However wires would also be weak with a broken wire breaking the circuit. Players would then need backups and most likely extra crew anyway.
lol what damaged the control center up there?
So do fuel sources either A, burn a set amount of fuel or B, burn for a set amount of time?
Update, so after digging through the comments I found a similar case and did what you recommended to the other player. Installing the newest runtimes did nothing so I sent you the error log from Event Viewer in a pm.
Ooh, idea. How about a type of weapon called a bomb dropper (or something). It has a built-in chest that contains the bombs, making it a limited ammo weapon. When activated it drops a time charged block that could stick to the first thing it touches and then blow up, dealing massive splash damage.
In defense against this players could build flak cannons, small automatic limited range rapid firing guns that target and destroy dropped bombs.
No idea if the game mechanics would allow this however as the game won't correctly launch here. Trying to resolve it but again, no dice.
Well here's a bug for you, the game won't launch -.-
Tried restarting desura and the computer, as well as reinstalling. No dice. Suggestions?
Sorry, posted mine before reading that :p
Apon launching I get a:
Unable to load mono library from "C:/Program Files (x86)/Desura/Common/clr-cannons-lasers-rockets/clr_Data/Mono/mono.dll" (error = 126).
Any idea how to fix that?
