ABOUT THIS GAME
Over 350 years in the future mankind has embraced space travel and exploration. We have colonized many worlds and spread ourselves across the galaxy. The Colonial Defense Force (CDF) is responsible for the security of Earth and her colonies, and our only line of defense against the unknown.
On March 1st 2368 contact was lost with our most distant colony, located in the Icarus system. Two days later the Dreadnought class spaceship CDF Goliath was dispatched to investigate. Experience the events that transpire as a Marine on the boarding party to the Icarus 3 Space Station and as a pilot returning from another mission a few days later.
Discover what happened to the CDF Goliath and why nine days after entering the Icarus system it was finally declared a Ghostship.
Play from the viewpoint of 2 different characters in an open world with random events and enemies, and a huge focus on atmosphere and immersion.
You are one of the last survivors! With just 1 life, escape the ship if you can!
A wave based survival mode where you must kill as many enemies as you can. There are 8 different onslaught maps which are based on locations from the story mode.
Offers a variety of diverse challenges which will test your combat ability, agility, and problem solving skills. There are 8 different challenge maps which are based on locations from the story mode.

CDF ghostship has been included in SO NOT LAME TV's monthly must have of August 2015.
Watched the video, epic music, and i love it how it does NOT zoom in when using the sights, giving it a bit realism.
But what i don´t like, if not hate, the bloom graphic effect.
Sooo wait.. is this just the demo of the alpha? i don't really understand the description...
Yes it was a demo of an old alpha, the current one 0.45 will be updated here on desura in a few months. In the meantime the demo can be downloaded from the web site - www.cdfghostship.com
Have fun, it's changed massively since the 0.36 one here on desura.
Yes, it has changed a LOT!
Looking very awesome! I commented on the video page as well.
Keep up the hard work
I just played the demo of Aftermath with the oculus rift and I am very impressed. Perfect atmosphere, felt like being a Space Marine in that old Space Hulk game on Amiga500. My question is how much further have you come in development in alpha compared to the demo?
Hope you are enjoying the new demo/preview :)
Its improved somewhat since this but this will give you an idea in the direction we are taking ghostship - Youtu.be Use your rift. Its a little jerky at first (our pc is on ist last legs - keeps overheating) but then it gets better :)
Much further lol. You will see the new alpha is much different, much improved and almost bug free. Prepare for a movie style survival horror :)
Great stuff. This was a very easy pre-order..cant wait to check it out as it updates =)
Great, good timing, we might be raising the price to the same as cdf ghostship. We have ended up putting a lot more work into Aftermath and is now much more than we orginally planned. But as this is our first debut title we are putting everything into this, then them amother 6 months finishing of CDF ghostship :)
Sweet! Will CDF Ghostship also get rift support?
Its not definite yet, Aftermath was created for the rift as its the the right sort of game. CDF ghostship plays well in the rift but its very hard, very realistic. Just one alien can take you out if you are not careful. Its easy enough with the shooting as you see in Aftermath with the new version, but in the storyline and game there are lots of them all around the ship, the colony and space station. We still have much work to do to get a full rift CDF ghostship up and running. With the lack of support and publicity we have received from going down the oculus route, it would be more credible to get the multiplayer CDF ghostship all up and running. We will have to see, October is a while away yet :)
Thanks for all the answers. I will keep my eye on CDF and cross them fingers. And on publicity, I must suggest you use the official oculus developer forums as I could not find Ghosthip there on my last search, just to check. More people need to know about your gem. Thanks again.
We have not had much luck with oculus. Apart from the lack of promotion at their end (for a native rift game - made for the rift) We submitted 3 demos which took days only to find out weeks or months later they didn't like X or X about it. We can not spare any more time to put up another demo which is more than likely get refused, again. We was going to scrap the rift version all together and concentrate on the normal pc version (its hard to makle a game for a high def rift without being able to get any feedback on our games on the high def system which will be released in the consumer market. We have had a few pre-orders who pleaded with us to do a rift version. With the other VR and IOS vr solutions becoming available this year, it is also prudent to have our game set up in VR ready for all the devices it could support in the near future. We still put updates on the oculus forum from time to time but these do not get any attention.
We are relying on word of mouth about Aftermath, If you like it, please let people know :) Thanks
Damn. Thats unbelivable. I will mention/tweet Ghosthip Aftermath as often as I can. Keep up the fantastic work.
