Well, the bot you're using may be the problem. I wish we had caught your question sooner, I doubt you'll check back here, but...

I think the installers here should be updated. Z?
Well, the engine as installed has no playable content. You take game modules and maps, which are contained in sdz or sd7 archives, and drop them into the mod and map folders respectively. Your lobby client, probably SpringLobby, allows you to connect to lobby. After registering, you can use the lobby to find and join games that you have the necessary content archives for.
AI can be installed in a variety of ways, but many games require specific AI and each AI has individual limitations. Generally you install an AI and then add it in the form of bots to a match. This can be done in multiplayer using the add bot button in the battleroom tab, or in single player using a similar button.
Did you remove all your friends? I thought we were already linked.
Oye, they had just come back from the pub!
We've been working on other factions to make historical battles less limited, but they have proven difficult to produce the artwork for.
You might try to use the Spring Downloader application, available at the Spring site. It will download the game and various maps when requested to do so, using interruptable torrents.
I don't know, I find there to be a higher degree of teamwork and team communication necessary at high difficulty than appears in the other cooperative titles you mentioned - though general communication is less prevalent. I like the fact that almost every person still playing Left 4 Dead has a microphone, but it doesn't really seem like they know how to use that edge to advantage normally, and most people can coast along without active discussion.
I play online with a limited group of friends. Works fine.
If my memory serves me correctly, this is a brutal and uncomfortable map, perhaps stronger in atmosphere than design, but a good effort.
Alright, sounds good.
It has been pushed back here and there, but it should be soon?
Hullo, Lowdive. I might be coming back as well.
Spring is fairly capable with various features offered by modern OpenGL. You can implement virtually anything in OpenGL which isn't present through Lua, and of course patches are acceptable for any niche advancements not present in the current engine.
Right you are, Tim. And now, back to Marian with the weather forecast.
That looks awesome, man.
These videos aren't bad, Smoth.
You might note that other games released by people with mod experience follow the same guidelines with community produced maps - see Killing Floor, and ignore the fact that they run paid contests and release the products as core maps.
I think you hit your stride in the second video. You might want to mention the focus on free-for-all and team battles - that information supports the critique of the expansion mechanic and slippery slope.
I recently noticed you posted a thread asking for help with the Spring engine.
I can direct you to the site - Springrts.com
You were asking about creating constructable buildings. All units require a model, texture and scripts. Buildings are just immobile units. All the information you need can be found in either the Spring Wiki or on the forums. Good luck!
The AI should work. I mean, it depends on release - each iteration of the engine and game it needs to be tweaked.
Well, these aren't the very minimum requirements, but here are some general guidelines...
Core 2 Duo/Athlon X2 or better processor
2 GB DDR2 or better RAM
7XXX GeForce or better GPU, preferably Nvidia due to OpenGL use
I desire more news entries. Perhaps something dealing with the awaited changes to the Firebug?
With Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the meaning of modern was rather obscured. In the context of game development, I think he can get away with calling this Modern.
I know I'm late to this, B sounded pretty good.
I played a small test battle on it earlier, and might be able to play Gundam tonight after 7 PM PST. The balance of the map is solid, and I'm always glad to see another take on an arctic climate.
In a world without weapons that design would work quite well. :3
