Description

I also contributed a capital ship design to a Homeworld and a CryEngine 2 mod that was focused on the reimagining of the Battlestar Galactica universe, as depicted in the Ronald D. Moore TV series. I decided to try and come up with an original take on a down and dirty quick hit-and-run carrier, and The Phoenix class was the result. As with The Valiant cruiser, I spent a lot of time planning out the placement of its weapons systems to maximize firing arcs. The last I heard about it, there was a mesh being worked on by Dracco (who was being very faithful to my designs), and then that was "that." The project sadly died. That happens a lot in mod production. I have a lot of designs for characters and creatures for mods that never fully blossomed and that were never released to the public. For a gallery exhibition, I came up with a graphic that featured my designs for The Phoenix, and it also showed the early stages of the mesh for the mod. The drawing, and the three schematic views, were done by me.
