Why isn't standalone installer getting updated?
Why isn't standalone installer getting updated?
As devs stated somewhere (one of the updates, AFAIR) - it's a matter of weeks now (need to fix critical bugs left like crashing), so May should be a pretty safe bet.
Ding-dong. Do you even read (regular) updates? Lots and lots of progress was made and shown.
There are lots of existing opensource pathfinding implementation, e.g AStar (A*) is already implemented dozens of times in most existing programming languages :)
Having Norton installed is asking for the trouble, imho, it both false positives a lot and also occasionally misses the actual bad stuff.
NOD32 is much, much better.
Have you got Minecraft or some other lwjgl game installed?
Can anyone recommend good mods?
I think "The Other DRM" is simply a serial key with no caveats, so you are safe either way.
Wow, looks great! Since it is obviously inspired by the original MOO, I wonder if it will feature the same great tech synergies as the MOO did: Computer research improving Espionage and Counter-espionage, Weapons improving Sabotage etc (manual describes such mechanics in detail).
Ahhh, finally. Cool game, gonna buy a Desura version as well.
Ever heard of C&C?
Also, there IS review section.
"Ok the game was just uploaded a bit ago to the system and I approved it. You should be able to now install the game with the client or download it as a standalone file" - so it's like a Steam, finally :).
Generally it is from the get-go.
Was it unlocked for your Desura account in Desura client, though?
It's Unity, so I think not yet.
Isn't there an integrated updater? (run wyupdate.exe - it is included in direct version, dunno for GG though - it gets updates immediately, even faster than Desura does).
They don't do the alpha-funding, so not in the nearby future, I suppose. But as soon as it is 1.0 - I think yes, as it's well-known enough. And given the current Steam track of giving keys for direct indie sales, I suppose it's a safe bet to assume we'll get Steam keys later.
... on steroids. It's similar, except less deadly, more frantic and with 1500% more explosios.
Rating is low, because someone who didn't bother to leave a review rated it 1. Other scores seem to be OK.
Bought it now, will comment after having played it. Looks nice.
This review (for iOS version) sold it to me:
Ifanzine.com
For those who have played the game - is there a peaceful (non-hunt) mode available, where you don't have to actually kill anyone?..
There was a Steam update already - mostly avhievements, but also some minor tweaks ( e. g. Bombs got cooldown).
Are we getting it on Desura?
Good idea. Precursors are greatly underrated - lots of brilliant concepts there.
There should be more crucial information available on the About page. What is the DRM stance of the DD service, what is the policy regarding the games (do you own what you buy? Can the games be possible removed from your account on the publisher\store discretion? Can the accounts be banned under certain circumstances? What is the official policy on "run a game from the same account on my desktop PC, laptop and at grandma's"?).
The last thing people need when visiting informational pages are the HUGE "PROMOTE US" logos.
It's time to talk business already.
