Wow, I came on here looking for some ports, and I didn't realize Cave Story had been.
I am officially in love with my PSP again. Cave Story on the go is fantastic.

This doesn't really seem like it'll fit the theme at all... but it's a nice piece.
Nice. Very... retro?
The one thing I can say doesn't really fit though is the red health bar - what happened to the heart-health system? Also, the squares should be a bit more rounded and less edgy.
Nice WIP design though :)
Yeah... I can't see this project being finished.
Not to mention, people seem to obsess over graphics now, so if that picture is an accurate depiction of what the final product's going to look like, not many people will download it.
Good luck though - you're treading in dangerous waters here. Many have tried but not been successful. Think Peter Molyneux - he had a good vision, but his final product as nowhere near what he promised.
Don't be that guy.
I'm fine with doing vehicles.
Fair enough, I'm fine with doing that too then.
S'all good - I'm fine with doing textures, I'm just worried that the texture map will not remain changed (so that the texture fits on) after exporting, but if you say there's no problems, then that's fine.
I'll be willing to work on the 3D graphics for the game :) A couple of questions and points however:
1.) I won't be able to make characters. At the moment, I just don't have the expertise to make models THAT complex. However, I am good at making objects, scenery, building and the like.
2.) What model file format will be used? I have access to Blender to make files, and from previous jobs I've noticed problems with a FEW problems with exporting it to .3ds, like face flipping. If this is a problem, tell me.
3.) Texturing isn't my expertise - so if you get someone else to do that, I'd get the models done a lot faster (having one less thing to do) and the whole process would go a lot smoother.
I quit a few months ago, just so you know. I have a few models, that I've already sent along to pwtool. If you end up restarting, I'll be happy to send you them aswell.
But first I'd have to get pwtool's permission.
It's not dieing, don't worry, works coming along great.
Those images are... quite small. And they look like you've probably taken them from somewhere like Google Images...
You should really say more, like how the game is going to work (a new game page requires more information).
Look in the mod summary:
Play as one of 3 brand new "races": Bio-Organic Weapons, Raccoon Police Department or Umbrella Corporation!
New maps, most probably. That's why I'm modelling a load of buildings, lol :P
Dawn of War in general - I think Dark Crusade. I'm not sure whether or not it'll be compatible with the older ones (DoW and DoW:WA), I'll ask pwtool when he gets back.
So is this game using a 3D engine or just a clever use of 2D?
Either way, it's shaping up to be a pretty nice looking game :)
Wow, it does have the same feel to it as the old games :) Very nice.
So... programmer art?
Seems interesting, though I'm guessing the art isn't a finished design?
XBox 360? Even if it's released as an XBox Live Community/Indie game, you'll probably get sued - it's a Nintendo trademark my friend. It's gonna be much easier and cheaper for you to make it solely for the PC, though even then you may come across some problems.
Carry on though, this is looking great so far :) (that's if those pictures are of this game and not just thrown together sprites). Can't wait to see the finished product.

Doesn't look like anything too unique, but I'm keeping my eye on it nonetheless :)
Good luck.
Reminds me quite a lot of Oblivion. That isn't a bad thing though, 'cause you seem to have upped them on some bits, like horse battling, knocking down enemies and lock-on type aiming with the bow in third-person.
Overall, looks like a buy :)
Seems like a pretty good project - can't wait to see the end result :) I've always wanted them to add a level editor into the Zelda series. Awesome.
If you need a story writer or something similar, feel free to message me (thought it seems that content will be made purely by the community in this project).
The sequel is going to be great - I almost screamed with glee when I saw the new video on IGN and it had an assassin in it. He just seems so freakin' awesome :|
Make the head be a bit wider and a tiny bit taller, and then darken the part of the texture of the face.
They'd be able to get all of the profits of the game, seeing as they own the licence of Resident Evil and have copyrighted that title - if we were to release it, even if your friends said it would be fine, etc. then Capcom could still sue our ***, claim all code and modelling and all work done on the game and take it for themselves.
Licences cost a lot too, so it's not just a matter of "I'll pay £10 in order to get the rights".
They look like a pretty interesting selection of characters there :) Personal favourites are the woman on the left with dark hair covering her right eye, and the fluffy shadow thing at the front of the group.
Great design :)
Not really feasible, that. We'd get sued by Capcom if it wasn't free.
Unless you're being sarcastic...?
Looks pretty good so far, can't wait to see it in action :)
LOL, the base of the animation skeleton makes it look like someone speared him up the *** :P
Good work on the animation though, has the original "Halo" feel to it (great, but not quite professional, if you know what I mean).
Looks like a new Wipeout game, tbh, but that's not always a bad thing :) I'll be keeping my eye on this.
Also, you guys originated and are creating content with Blender? That's what I use for 3D modelling and the like, and where I first really got into the whole game development thing in general. Nice to see fellow Blenders :P
Looking forward to seeing what you guys make :D
Ooh, September? I had better stop having long breaks between work then. Thank god for Summer - plenty of free time :)

I am an avid game player, designer and programmer. Mostly the design part (I haven't fully got to grips with C++, as of yet, but I'm on my way). I'm looking to build a portfolio for myself through work on indie games, helping with art, design, story, etc. Or whatever is needed of me. I'm hoping to get into a full-time career once I leave school, and that would help one hell of a lot. That being said, I'll be willing to help with any mods or games that people are making, just send me a PM on here.
