Glitchbuster is a game about fixing glitches in... a game!
You are a little debugger, and your job is to fix all the glitches before the release!
Each level is procedurally generated and features a new set of glitches. Once you've finished the level, the glitches are fixed and you can move on to the next one.
Levels may contain enemies, mines, laser traps, spikes, fire, turrets... and many more.
In order to help you fix glitches, you have a large set of powers that you can unlock: shotgun, rocket launcher, flamethrower, teleporter, double jump, sprint, and many more! Each power features a tutorial to help you learn how to use it and decide which one to equip.
You can also choose a secondary power which helps you without the need of activating it: higher health, reduced damage, additional time or health when destroying an enemy, higher drop probability...
Over 40 glitches are already included in the game: ice levels, visual glitches, mines everywhere, stronger enemies, bigger explosions... making each playthrough unique!
Will you be able to fix all the glitches before the game gets released?

It's been a long year.
In August 2016, I started working on a platformer for the js13k game contest that ended up becoming Glitchbuster.
Even before starting to make the game, I knew I wanted to push things further than usual. I wanted to make a game that was good, regardless of the 13kb limitation. I also wanted to make a game that I could extend outside of the game contest and release on Steam. Something I could be proud of.
Flash forward to now.
Glitchbuster has very little to do with the original contest entry. It is a fully fleshed game, with tutorials, power ups, challenges, and a goal. It requires strategy, not just running and jumping in the levels as fast as possible.
Glitchbuster allows you to fix a game before its release. Each playthrough is different. Each level features a different set of glitches that, combined together, give players a completely different experience, and requires them to think about their inventory.

PS: This doesn't mean the game will not be updated. I am still open to feedback for bugs as well as improvements, and will make changes accordingly ;)
Still looking for testers, new glitches, speed run mode, and how I won a key for my own game at a game jam.
Another update in which we cover progress on the game, with a few details: upcoming demo, testers wanted, Steam builds, new glitch...
Now that Glitchbuster has been approved on Steam, it is time to start polishing it, and look for testers.
After months of hard work, I have submitted Glitchbuster on Steam Greenlight. Who you gonna call? Glitchbusters!
