Glitchbuster is a game about fixing glitches in... a game! You are a little debugger, and your job is to fix all the glitches before the release! Each level is procedurally generated and features a new set of glitches. In order to help you fix glitches, you have a large set of powers that you can unlock: shotgun, rocket launcher, flamethrower, teleporter, double jump, sprint...

After a long year of work, Glitchbuster is finally available on Steam, along with the demo.

It's been a long year.

In August 2016, I started working on a platformer for the js13k game contest that ended up becoming Glitchbuster.

Even before starting to make the game, I knew I wanted to push things further than usual. I wanted to make a game that was good, regardless of the 13kb limitation. I also wanted to make a game that I could extend outside of the game contest and release on Steam. Something I could be proud of.

Flash forward to now.

Glitchbuster has very little to do with the original contest entry. It is a fully fleshed game, with tutorials, power ups, challenges, and a goal. It requires strategy, not just running and jumping in the levels as fast as possible.

Glitchbuster allows you to fix a game before its release. Each playthrough is different. Each level features a different set of glitches that, combined together, give players a completely different experience, and requires them to think about their inventory.
