In a new take on 3D snake, Gimbal Cop and the Case of the Objectionable Hypercorrection is a fun, soon to be multiplayer arcade experience with bright colors, much whimsy, and 3D greatness. With both smooth sailing and challenging levels fit for all types of players, Gimbal Cop (for short!) is a space journey you don't want to miss!
We are now in alpha and are working hard with our awesome testers to make playing Gimbal Cop super duper awesome for release. If you'd like to get in on the alpha action, you can buy in right here: Defectivestudios.com
Gimbal Cop now has FULL Oculus Rift Support for all desktop platforms (yes, Linux included!). We want our VR experience to be one of the best around, and so far it's been doing great! Zooming around in a space car is pretty baller :) So what are you waiting for?
First off: if you haven't bought into the alpha yet (only $5 minimum required!) please do so right here. (http://www.defectivestudios.com/gimbalcop/)
Alright, let's get down to it - we knew as soon as we released an alpha that our hard work had only just started, and slowly but surely we've confidently released a great new build for our brilliant alpha gamers. Our jolly co-founder, Jono Forbes, has written a detailed summary of what's up in this next update, which you should really look at right here. (http://www.defectivestudios.com/devblog/gimbal-cop-alpha-update-2-v0-2-new-world-map-feature-replay-sharing-feedback-and-betterings/)
Instead of clogging up this news post with what Jono has already detailed, we'd better let you go ahead and check the blog post out yourselves! We're very proud so far, especially since we've heard such positivity and thoughtful feedback from users on all available platforms. We could not thank you all enough for your time and energy!
One last thing: we DO have a Greenlight page for the actual game (not a concepts page!) and we'd love it if you would support us and give us a vote if you haven't already. (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=203929585)
Again, thank you all for your amazing support and see you next update!
Finally, Defective Studios has an alpha to offer everyone of their first ever commercial game, Gimbal Cop! Available for Mac, PC, and Linux - with Oculus...
Our game uses multiple types of racing tracks; here is our newest: the Lava track!
From our tech expert Matt Schoen, who took a short video of some of the tech stuff we've been working on while working on Gimbal Cop.
PAX East, IGF, and who knows! We have submitted builds to several judges and are looking forward to submitting more as opportunities arise!
This looks like it could be a blast to play - players get to design the track for other players? That's cool and unique.
Thanks, friend! :D We wanted to make multiplayer different, and yes, one of the players builds the track AS other players race on it. The objective is to reach the person creating the track. It should call for some fun times!
