v0.6 of Dragon Ball RPG: Goku's Tale is now available. This release is the full story of Dragon Ball and ends at the conclusion of the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament. The game is now fully playable from start to finish.

As you may have noted, despite being the full story release, I have not given it a major release version of v1.0. This is because I'm intending on going back to the beginning of the project and polishing it up before calling it "done". This will (hopefully) mean:

  • Improved combat
  • More details on maps
  • More sidequests
  • More equipment/items

You all know I don't update my IndieDB super often. For more reliable updates, please subscribe to the YouTube channel or follow the thread on Dragon Ball Forums

Please message me on Dragon Ball Forums or email me directly with any feature requests or bug report.

Thank you everyone for following me this far. I hope you enjoy this release.

This game is nice! But there are some issues. One is that I am stuck at the Fortuneteller Baba's place. I talk to her, and the party decides that we take on her fighters, and then we freeze. Nothing happens. Please fix this bug.

Hi, I'm assuming you're the one who emailed me about this. For anyone else having trouble, this is fixed in v0.6.1 which is available on the downloads page.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

The game is very good. You can use parallel maps to speed up development.
