This screenshot was taken at maximum zoom, so, realistically, the missiles shoot clean across the screen.

Oh good. I was worried that they're range would be so close that they'd cause more damage by ramming or boarding.

So actually your ships will get sunk before you know what's happening, because missiles come from outside the screen while enemies have sight on you?

It takes a few volleys to sink a ship, and ships have CIWS systems as well as other countermeasures. Also, if an enemy can see you, you most likely can see him as well. We do have a minimap after all :P

Description

One of the issues people took during the kickstarter campaign were weapons ranges. So, I thought it'd be a good idea to show the actual ranges.

The Destroyer and SSM Frigates both have a missile range of 1.5km at the moment, and the Fast Attack Craft has 1.2km range.

Main Guns are pretty much all set to 800 meters, with some, like the Battleship's main batteries, being set to 1km.
