How would one aquire a dragon / technocrat deck after the initial choice? Hopefully not by just fighting until you have enough cards to make a new deck. I guess my point is, why should the player be limited by choosing to begin with?
Oooh! Yes please! Although making the best with what you've got is intresting, this really makes room for adding personal characters, such as you and your closest friends. :)
Nice introduction. All the sections were brief and to the point.
I've already had some good fun with my Behemoths. But I am wondering, now that unit profiles are more easily acessible. Is there a section somewhere that easily explains the various attributes? Range and Movement are rather obvious. But what about the A(3+) or Defense 6. They are a little more obscure. My guess would be that A = Armor and P = Personel, the bracketed number is wound roll required and that defense is basic damage reduction. But It would be nice to get it cleared up perfectly. :)
Yes! This is exactly what I have been looking for. Good to see the posibility for creating armies, and readable unit profiles.
I were kind of hoping this were a non-steam release. Since the game is good, and the ability to play co-op and circumvent the steam servers would be grand. But I'm dissapointed that this is another release for steam.
Please please stay independant from steam. I would really prefer if games requiring steam were sold on steam.
Any plans of adding a demo along the line? I'd love to get a feel for the game from more than screenshots and videos. :)
Great. This was exactly what I came here to ask for. :)
Alright, I expected as much. :)
Although this is an alpha I'd like to know if there were a demo available? Since I really like getting a feel of the design of something before purchasing it (and only so much can be deducted from the video).
Actually it is a game about fantasy warfare, not *******. :)
I really wanted to like this, I would. But those rolls all the time. Apart from now and then choosing which items to pick up and if to reroll, as well as which direction to go, I feel completely controlless. The die choses everything for me, and I feel like a mere assitant of the die, determine those trivial things for it it can not.
Hey! I'd just like to say I feel people are wrong to label your game as primitive and flash-like. I think it is quite sophisticated and elegant, managing to both have an expansive and non-random engine, all the while keeping the information representation easy and accessible. The accessibility of the game were one of the first things to surprise me when trying the demo. It takes a lot of design consideration to create a non-random and still intresting system, while still conveying only the nessecary information to the player. Games I'd consider primite are stuff way to heavy on output-randomness, something that drowns the players in tons of trivial information or something that tries to hide the lack of intresting gameplay by shoving tons of content down their throat.
So keep on making awesome and elegant games.
I guess someone have been playing Master of Orion? Not a too bad place to start for making a game. :D
Cool! I had grabbed the demo a few days ago and had always stopped a few minutes after character generation because of the non-existant buildings. So I'll be happy to actually be trying the game out now and hopefully support it once I've get my share of gameplay under my belt.
Okay, and thanks for the remarkably fast reply. If there are any problems (or praise for that matter) I'll let you know.
I just ordered this for my brother through Indie Royale. How do I install it using the .jar installer?
