Where are the save file locations, among other things?

Just so that when I uninstall this eventually I am able to properly clean out any "loose" files.

What are you planning in regards to distribution services? Is this going to be strictly a Steam game? Desura? Gog?

I'm thinking about buying the game, but I have one question. If I buy the game, will it work like Project Zomboid? In other words, will I get the full game when it's released or am I just paying for an alpha, needing to pay again in the future?

If you downloaded through the client, then yea, it'll auto-update.
For those like me who grab the .ZIP, we gotta wait for the next major build.

About the jerkiness, you could try pressing "g" in game, lowering graphics. It works for me. Other than that, try their forums.

If you just reformatted you may need to update/download some third-party soft wares. E.g. Java & Graphic Driver Updates
