Can someone post the system minimum requirements to play this game? I have a fairly old (but still decent) laptop I tried playing this on and got absolutely HORRIBLE stuttering, lag, and I couldnt even play. At all. Thats how horrible it was. A real shame too because the game looks very pretty and I would have liked to try it out. I would like to know the system requirements so I know if it was the game (bugs or what not) or if I just needed to upgrade to a new computer to play. (which wont be for awhile but itll be something to look forward to i guess)

Also the final version of the game (onced released) will have a launcher which will be auto updating. But the final release isnt coming for awhile. Its still in alpha (not even beta). RC3 is coming soon though which might mean there heading to beta soon. Idk. But yeah figured I'd answer your other question (since I forgot to in my first post lol).

It doesnt update your game. Your potentially downloading a ZIP that contains the game in it. You have to open the link on a web browser in not through the Desura software. When I clicked the links they didnt work so i click open in webbrowser and it instantly started downloading the files I clicked. Its in a ZIP. So you unzip it and just paste your desura code and you can start playing. Idk when it will be released but desura should be getting an updated version of 2.9 i think. Its still being put through though i think. Itll be a public demo version though. The latest PAID version you can play is RC2.5 which is a good version. Not many bugs.

Firstly you do not want to play the desura auto downloaded version. See that first download (if you have pc) under the purchased download list? Download that. If you have mac download the very bottom one and linux downloads are the ones in between for whatever system you have. When you go to play it will ask for your desura key which you can find by right clicking on the game in your desura play folder. And just copy paste. Thats the most recent version to play. Keep in mind this is alpha still so they have bugs. Hope this helps

you should go under purchased downlaods and download the file the correlates to your pc. Whether its mac, linux, or microsoft. Thats the latest "Bought" version up for play and features way better textures compared to the version that desura has installed. That is an older version but its also the least buggiest and safest to play. There is a 2.9 version out for public but lots of things are disabled in it and I wouldnt recommend it. RC3 (with loads more things) will be released hopefully here soon and added to the download page. Make sure to try that out as well. Beware though 2.9 and I assume RC3 will play really differnt than the RC2.5 and RC1.5 do.

The developers said that they do not want to implement auto updating until the game becomes more developed. Im assuming when it hits beta? or something close in the future (maybe RC3 :3). Auto updating really can take a toll on them though (as hackers once made a auto update client for PZs hacked version and it really ran there Bandwith high and charged them a ton of money). So I dont think they will want to make it anytime soon imo. But lets hope thats not the case.

The 0.2.9 version is for the public to test. It doesnt have Npcs and other things. And frankly imo tens times harder than RC2.5. Its good and Looks fantastic. But really hard. Just head to project zomboids site and its one of their first posts on there page. There will be a link to it. you should also make sure to look for the latest hotfix as well while your there downloading 2.9. Just copy the stuff in the folder into the 2.9 folder thatll hold all the PZ files.
