We are an indie group working on a scifi, community-driven, free to play, sci-fi freelance MMO RPG. We believe that the audience is just as integral to game creation as the development team. It is important to maintain a close-knit relationship with the audience where we listen to them – actually hear their feedback – and adjust the game according to what they want to play. After all, a game is nothing without a playerbase. It’s time that gamers start being a part of the creative process, rather than end-users of it. We here at Skyshard want to pave the way for this kind of game development; a kind of development we see as the future of how games will be made.

Post news Report RSS Total Decay Cancelled Until Further Notice

Total Decay has, unfortunately, been cancelled until further notice. We may pick up development again later on, but right now it's on hiatus. Also a quick note about our next game.

Total Decay has been officially cancelled

We've had a bumpy ride the past year, and unfortunately, like so many other penniless developers, we've failed to deliver. Lunar Blast's programmers were unable to tackle the problems of game development, since all three of them were software engineers, and not familiar with game development.

We may pick up development again in the future, but until further notice the game will be dormant and untouched. We have already begun with early pre-production of our next game, which will be a grand strategy game focusing on military and clever diplomacy. We are busy with a CGI trailer for the game, which we will put on YouTube once completed. After a clear vision for the game has been established, we will put it on ModDB, as well as on Kickstarter for early development funding.

Total Decay's failure is not viewed as a waste by anyone in Lunar Blast, but is instead taken as a learning opportunity. I, personally, have learned a lot about 3D Modelling and production management during my work on Total Decay, and I will be sure to plan our next game out more effectively.

Thanks to everyone who supported us on ModDB, and a special thanks to those who donated to our Kickstarter campaign, despite the low quality of the campaign and the trailer itself.

Thanks for reading,
Chalk,
Founder, Lunar Blast Interactive
