Set in a near future, a virus from outer space hits a hotdog vendor in Sweden, grows all hotdogs into 2.5 meters and gives them life. They killed him and started a hotdog apocalypse, killing many humans and destroying cities. A group of four survivors are defending themselves against the hotdogs. I am a Swedish developer who is working alone with the project currently, but if you like, you can join.

If anyone is still stalking this profile, this game has obviously ceased development. I am working on a new one, it can be found at the "games" tab at my profile just in case you want to look.
Have you considered giving the game a Doom-like look? In other words, to make the enemies 2D sprites? And then make certain larger enemies, like tanks or helicopters, into 3D models.
This should enable you to get around the Hot-dog problem.
Oh, and since you're swedish, please include a kpist and maybe AK4 ;)
I will make all models in 3D, the graphics will be fairly modern.
About the weapons, I had an AK-4 model that got corrupted. I am going to make an AK-5 on the other hand, and the Kulsprutepistol modell 1945 will possibly in the game, but modernized like the Schmeisser MP-40X (made-up weapon).
I am not sure about release date yet, at the time when this was a tiny project on Facebook it got deleayed for an unknown time. Currently I believe that this will be able to release in later 2014/early 2015. I have a lot of models ready, but many important ones aren't finished or not started. After modelling, I will start programming and that's going to take some time too. I also need to learn how to animate and rig later on.
I, on the other hand, really dig the hotdog idea.
