Kyle Rogers, an ex-Spec-Ops soldier has been awoken from a very long cryostasis sleep by a young human woman, named Tori. In his sleep, the world has gone to hell and back. It is recovering from years of war and torment after a mysterious disease pushed the world into apocalypse. Kyle has amnesia but soon learns that he is the key for the survival of the human species, and that he is supposed to open a massive underground Cryostation which holds thousands of humans that can re-populate the world. But, it won’t be long before Kyle realizes there is more to this world than his mission and that the secrets of this world are more dangerous than the bacteria that caused “The Collapse” in the first place.
Really love this one, and we may adjust the other two if needed to match this one more. This is a third person mesh, so the first person one will look better.
Nice! When I first saw your weapon art, I though the blocky weapons were a little weird, but you've really managed to make something awesome here!
Thanks man! We are loving how these are turning out, and btw, I didn't mention it in the description, but this was made by a newer artist to the team, and he is working on another larger vehicle piece right now (not the VTOL).
That's indeed very blocky, but also kinda cool.
Texture resolution is a little low if this is going to be a viewmodel, for thirdperson it should be ok.
One thing that doesn't convince me is the magazine on the end of the Weapons body.
This makes no sense at all if you considder the mechanics inside of a gun.
Even on a SciFi gun you have to obey a few logical rules to make it belivable, at least if it's a balistic weapon.
I think something like this would be far more realistic.

Only a quick photoshop edit, I'm sure you will do a far better job on this.
Its a bullpup weapon, which means the magazine is at the back of the weapon behind the trigger, its logical and realistic, search for it on wikipedia and you'll be surprised.
@fragfest2012 - Even though its blocky, it somehow works really well with the design, good job on it.
It is actually very realistic. Especially for a game set in the future.
If you look at a lot of the newer firearms that are being produced (irl) you will notice that the bullpup design is becoming more and more common because it allows for a shorter overall length to the weapon without decreasing the barrel length. It is a reasonable assumption (at least for a game) that the stantard design will eventually all but dissappear in military weapons.
Just look at the:
tar-21
AUG
fn 2000
L85 and L86
Kel tec KSG
famas
Barrett m95
and that is just to name a few of the more well known bullpup weapons.
Yes, bullpup weapons are becoming the standard for sure. Also, this is a 3p mesh, not 1p, should have clarified that...
Well... never heared of that before, but right there seems to be a whole lot of new weapons build on this concept.
Excuse me, i ususally don't play shooters with modern firearms in them, such as CoD:MW1-3.
But i still think the buttstock should be thicker if it's meant to house the "action".
On all the Bullpup weapons i saw so far the stock is at least as thick as the gun itself.
And i'm not sure at all about ergonomic aspects.
It looks very uncomfortable to shoot with.
Especially with such a big magazine right behind the handle.
Some weapons i saw (e.g. P90) even put the magazine horizontal on top of the weapon.
The action in most (if not all) weapons is directly above the magazine. This weapon appears to have plenty of room for the action.
To some extend I agree about the ergonomics of it. But I don't think they should change it. Even if it isn't perfect it looks futuristic and yet believable to me.
Thanks man, yea, we like the concept as is, and there is a certain level of creative freedom here.
Reminds me of BF 2142
Really? My friend really loves that game, but I never played it...
