Just scribbled down some thoughts, might try to make this someday.

read the tl;dr at the bottomA father comes home to visit his wife (as he was on a business trip or some shit I don’t know) and his wife is just kinda sittin in a corner all shively and sad and shit and hes like yo babe whats wrong, and she’s uncontrollably upset, and he calls his daughter with no answer, and then he goes up to her room to find what is the matter, and finds her dead, hanging by a belt from her ceiling.  He stubles from the room, and wanders dreamily into the living room with his crying wife, who is insistant the husband had something to do with her suicide (which she thinks is a murder.)  Police and an ambulance arrive at the door.  Under investigation, the police make a hypothesis that this was not a suicide, but a killing against the person’s will due to what looked like a struggle, and the severe abuse the girl suffered before her alleged suicide.  The mother blames the father of murdering her child for her life insurance policy (which the wife took out several weeks earlier), and they are both taken away as suspects.  While in the car, his wife escapes her handcuffs somehow and tries to strangle the husband, screaming and crying.  The cop pulls over and attempts to calm her down and rebind her.  She gets the cops gun and shoots him multiple times in the knee, then starts making her way towards her husband.  He shuts the door as bullets are fired, ducking beneath the seat.  He climbs out the opposing door out into the highway traffic, and runs into the opposing lane which is stopped with traffic.  He dodges in between cars as his wife shoots multiple citizens while trying to hit him, most people hide in their car.  The dad just kinda gets enough distance from his wife, who is now going to be restrained by the other police officer who have arrived, gets down on his knees and cries a bit, passes out, then regains his consciousness. He hears a gunshot go off in the distance.  He hears his daughter speaking in his head, telling him to escape into the forest and avoid the police.  He goes to a side road and assumes control of a womans car with a knife, and drives away into the outskirts of town to find a motel to stay at.  He hears about the story on the news, and how he is wanted as a suspect.  He also hears that his wife is still unaccounted for, and how she killed two police officers (the first bled out when she shot his femoral artery.)  The dad becomes extremely paranoid and begins to tear up his bed with the knife he has in a sad rage, and locks himself into his motel room.  Out the window, he sees a half-destroyed car pull up, and a man with a briefcase exit. He resumes hiding in his room, and hears banging on his door, and then a gunshot fired into his lock.  The man with the briefcase enters, but finds nobody there as the father climbed out his window and jumped.  He gets in his car and drives away to the police station, about to turn himself in as a suspect (as he believes he has done nothing wrong.)When he arrives at the police station (which is the same as his wife had been taken) he finds everyone there dead, except for one man with multiple wounds to his chest and extremities.  When he goes up to talk to him and ask for help, the man draws a gun on the father, and shoots him in the shoulder, and then misses several other times while the father runs away.  The cop goes after the father and eventually goes to shoot him when he is cornered.  The cop unsteadily raises his hand to shoot, but in an unexpected turn of events, stuffs the gun in his mouth and shoots himself.

TL DR So basically what this is is a zombie game (I know, lame.) but the people aren’t zombies - they have no physical altercations, but extreme metal disorders that make them incredibly paranoid.  They kill others because they feel their life is being threatened.  The wife was the first to catch the mental disorder, and gave it to the cops through some means, where they all killed each other in paranoia.  Nobody is immune, but some people experience the disease in other ways, where they might just see or hear things, but not act violently (as is the case of the father.)  Some people still have cognitive abilities, but are overwhelmed with paranoid thoughts, leading to their own suicide (as in the case of the last cop.)  Basically the idea is everyone has metal troubles now.  People don’t act how they should.  Some people are lucky enough to just hear and see things, but others are murderous.  The people who are less insane do not ban together for the most part, but those who are insane often realise others have the same problem as them, and develop a weird trust among packs of people.  (the man with the briefcase and the man’s wife teamed up first.)  These packs of people sometimes merge with other trust packs, but often just kill each other, like gangs.  There are also lone wolves, who take all resources for themselves, and are so paranoid that they are extremely well fortified and difficult to kill or reason with.  People who are less insane but afflicted with untrue visions often succumb to depression and kill themselves.  Those who are stronger fight to kill for food and drugs, the drugs which take minds away from insanity, but also cause more problems.So yeah basic mechanics I’ll figure that out but what do y’all think of the idea?
