The Protectors team is glad to announce that TPC has reached the intended milestone as far as the hero creation process is concerned. We present you the Hero Creation Screen:
Since there are 14.336 ways of creating your hero - not calculating the strictly graphical setups - we tried making the creation screen as detailed as possible in terms of information, while also keeping it as non-clustered as possible in terms of visual appeal. Creating your permanent hero now provides a fitting experience.
Firstly, as you can see, there is a text display for everything you might want to know about your soon to become hero: Name, Race, Class, Skills, Stats and the TPC-made Proficiency and Perks, constantly updating and providing information as you fiddle with your setup. We tried to bring every bit of information that affects gameplay onto this panel and separate the graphical settings (looks, voices etc.) which are now found in the customize panel accessible via the button on the right.
Secondly, we have implemented a popup help feature for the unaccustomed, new players. Just hovering over a skill or a race will bring up a small description of what and how is your hero influenced by it.
Hopefully, a lot of your time will be spent on this screen, which is how it should be considering the fact that you will be using the chosen setup for a big portion of the game. We like to think we have created a suitable process for an RPG game, rather than an RTS.
