Martoria is planned as a Space Simulation MMO with a big Economical Part and a Second Life Simulation Feeling.
We want to allow the Player to take part in the History of the Universe which is settled by 4 Races. He should be able to choose what he wants to do, live on a planet (space and surface gameplay) or in Space (on his Ship or on a Space Station) or even both.
The player has a huge number of possibilities to evolve, start as a traveler and explore an infinite and dynamical generated Space Environment, make friends and create alliances, claim Planets, Systems or even a whole Galaxy and defend those against other Players and Pirates.
He should be able to play as the defender of the Universe or the one who wants to own it (Pirate and Race Conflicts) or travel as a peaceful merchant or scientist to rise silent and build up a huge trading empire. Build fabrication facilities and trade between Factions and Planets, use a dynamic exchange and price System (Player controlled Exchange) to get the best deal. Deliver Supplies and help Planets to evolve, support productions on the surface and build up production process chains.
There should be a close link between space and surface gameplay and trading so the players can do both without any problems. Also the production system is going to be dynamic as the players should be allowed to explore and research new technologies and improve their products to become the best in their field.
There should be a big science and research factor and every system should offer new things to discover (also leftovers of an old and advanced culture -> artifacts) which will allow the player to upgrade existing workflows or create new technology.
Also the leveling and enhancement system should be dependent of this research and should allow the players to create unique objects with their knowledge and skill.

All this in a universe full of political conflicts and intrigues between the races, factions and players what could cause a fight in every second. The political system is not only present in the Universe, every planet will be controlled by a political structure and will be able to be captured.
A modular ship system is planed too so players can easily create unique Ships and Stations and use their researched technology.
These are the main parts of the Concept but possibly some things are left that we forgot to mention.
Mainly you can describe the Game as a combination of an economic Simulation Game and a Second Life Simulation Game in both Space and Planetary Environments with a huge research factor and an infinite amount of possibilities for the Player to evolve and take part in the History of the Martoria Universe.
