One of the really cool things about being indie is you can (need to) learn new things in so many fields. I find it just amazing that, if you want to, you can find something new around every corner every day, be it in coding, management, 3D or 2D design.

Today I would like to show you one of the fields in which I beleive I've made quite some progress: 2D Concept Arts, more exactly: Designing planets.

Nuvebia

Here is the timeline for the planet Nuvebia from the Leviathan Crossfire universe:

The planets Rakan and Nuvebia are the opposing forces in a war for freedom in outer space. Red and blue as colours may make it really obvious, but yeah... sometimes - the easy way is just the easy way!

I know there are many artists out there who are way better than me, or even better than I will ever be. But that's not the point. The point is... learning and finding something new around every corner every day, be it in coding, management, 3D or 2D design!

The planets will find use in-game also, by the way. The latest images are in 1920x1080 HD, so if you really have no idea what desktop background to use at the moment... here you go!

Feedback is appreciated!
