Well here we are. It's spring. A time for growth and rebirth.
I mentioned that this would be a busy month for us, that we would work on all sorts of things including finishing off Crawle (not this month of course, haven't you noticed how lazy we all are o_O?).
Anyway, I've been working on Crawle now since August when me and Relly wanted to do something new, something to get our minds away from the ridiculous amount of clichés and genericism.
We will be, as I said working in a new engine that we will make and it will be amazing, etc. But lets not forget about this engine that I (and other contributing programmers) have worked on. I love this engine to death considering the amount of work I've put into it, the amount of trouble its got me in (working on Crawle instead of studying for exams) and the small community (which genuinely means the world to me, despite how small it is) we've gotten from it.
So before I release this final, clean, unblemished, beautiful Crawle patch, I'd like to do something big, something amazing because this engine deserves it. We'll announce it soon and I hope you'll all be here to celebrate with us and be here with us on our journey to finish Crawle in the coming months.
Oh and if you were wondering what the update was:
0.2.4a --> 0.2.5
# FIXES
- None necessary.
# CHANGES
- Removed dead code.
- Cleaned up code.
- Removed useless unfinished features (torchs + inventory).
- Removed multiplayer.
The game runs significantly faster, is cleaner and is exactly as I want it to be really. I know its not finished and there should be more things, but thats what the new engine is all about really.
