Spaceflux is an online PvP arena shooter in impossible geometry. Matches are played in fractal space, where levels are contained within themselves and walking towards the center takes you back to where you started. With portals, endlessly recurring levels, anti-gravity and fully destructible environments, Spaceflux is a mind-bending take on the FPS genre.
For the past two and a half years, I've been working non-stop to bring this game to life and I'm thrilled to have my first Steam launch just within reach!
Spaceflux will launch for Steam early access on September 30, but without your help I won't have the funding to continue the game past early access and truly fulfill my vision.
I set out to make a mind-bending FPS in a dozen unique geometries: hyperbolic space, level design with portals to create hyperlinked maps, 4D voxel levels that evolve over time... Obscure spaces like Sol geometry, the strangeness of which needs to be seen to be believed. All-way gravity that changes direction with the surface you're standing on. An FPS that reinvents the shooter genre like never before. I wanted to explore non-Euclidean geometry in a way that's fun and accessible, with all the familiar staples of an arena shooter.
There's so much more I want to share with you - in fact, I have over ten more reality-shattering mechanics planned, none of which have ever appeared in an FPS! Not to mention expanding the match capacity to 8-16 players and porting the game to VR.
Unfortunately, by the time September rolls around I won't have enough money to continue the project. Spaceflux hasn't yet garnered enough attention for Steam purchases to keep me afloat. If you're short on cash, I understand - but please spread the word on social media. It means so much. This is a dream of mine, and I'm glad I've made it this far.
