Expired Meat - Map, Mechanics, Animation and logo!

Introduction

Greetings yet again indieDB!

Today we come to you with yet another devblog.

The development of the game continues forward at a good pace.

Map

As stated in the previous devblog we were busy discussing the layout of the map and we have finally a base template we are going to be using, keep in mind we are still working on it and this is just the first iteration.

The table in the middle and the stand at the bottom will be the main obstacles as waves of mindless expired meat march against you !

Mechanics

You might remember in the second devblog we showcased a little bit of our early prototype, now we are making the mechanics more "complicated".

Now you can't just slice and dice your foes like a chainsaw, now your attacks have a cooldown, this will make the game more challenging and open the opportunity for strategy.

Speaking of which, the zombies will also have an attack with a cooldown, it will be shorter than the player's but it will be very deadly, specially at the start.

We want our zombie to have an attack close to this, a forward slap, being able to hit the player from a short distance.


Conclusion

This concludes our progress during this week, thank you so much for sticking around and waiting as we prepare this game to eventually let you put your hands on !

Last but definitly not least, we finally have a logo !
