One thing I'm learning as a Solo Developer is that the intense pressure comes from within and I am my biggest critic and focus on the tiniest details for hours on end. Sleep seems a chore at the moment as I work flat out to reach my personal deadline for Early Access on Steam.
Last night's endeavours have brought to life a rough playable build of the new Game Mode, Stranded. In contrast to the two other Game Modes to be included in Day One, Exosphere and Fathom, Stranded features full immersive 3D flying combat.
You cannot survive and your base will be destroyed. Either you pick off enemies as they approach and stay alive for as along as possible, or you risk damage for a higher score collecting Fragments to increase your multiplier. It will make for a tough, nerve racking choice... Never quite knowing whether you have made the right decision to survive.
So I'll leave this video here for you to see, more enemy types are to be added over the coming days and refining of game play elements. Exciting times ahead!
