Hello, indieDB Community!
Welcome to the 4th article about our in development game, Nata.
If you want to find out more about our game, check out our other articles on our indieDB page.
After jumping to 3D modelling, our team did some concept art first for the environment as well as for the characters. In this article we're going to show you some of the environment concept art we've worked on in this past week.
Environment Concept Art
Since we have two game areas we needed to create different variations of the elements present in each area.

Port
Here we have some boat concepts, as we were trying to figure out the best silhouette for the main trading boat that is docked in the port, alongside some studies for the different produce that might be available in the street markets.
Next, we worked on some concepts for the market stalls themselves. In the port we are going to have some NPCs selling fish and other varied seafood, and in the town square there will be several vendors offering different fruits and veggies, as well as clothes and other knich-knacks.

Largo do Senado
Seeing as Largo do Senado is the main area of Nata we did several sketches of the area's buildings, stores, small markets, Chinese New Year's decoration and much more, looking to achieve a specific stylized look that would match what we initially had in mind.
Well, we reached the end of our 4th article!
Next article will be focused on character concept art.
See you next week!
