You could try changing the sv_lan 1 in cfg/server_lan.cfg to sv_lan 0, no idea if that'll do the trick though.
If you let the Steam-client store your login-credentials it is able to function in Offline-mode, thus making it possible to play it without Internet-access once you've obtained the necessary software through Steam while being online.
I am not aware of any legal CS:S version, that is not received through Steam.
If you have CS:S, then you can download the Source SDK 2007 Base from the Tools-tab.
You need CS:S.
Future versions of this mod are expected to remove the dependency to CS:S, just requiring you to have the Source SDK 2007 Base, which you get from any of Valves Source-games (that are not F2P) afaik.
The updated AI is awesome!
There are really few Source-mods with MP bots and most of them (all others?) are just the standard Half-Life 2 AI patched to work with MP; You did a really good job there!

Among other stuff, I've been suggesting to use the Source SDK Base (SteamAppID 215) and mount CS:S content like that: Developer.valvesoftware.com
I guess Valve had their reason to introduce it and CS:S updates (if any should still come) then cannot break your mod.

You should try to filter out the dark pixels before blurring on the bloom-shader, so that this way only the light gets bloomed :)

You can download the version 1.2, although be assured that the next version has a much better technical background (like camera-control with the mouse).

It doesn't hurt you in any way that they'll release console-versions.
More optimizations doesn't mean lesser quality. They're probably just gonna make it more scalable.
They have beta-testers. If it would be unbalanced you wouldn't be able to do it.
