We didn't have enough money to continue development full-time and we weren't willing to work on it part-time, so we decided to put the game on hold.

Sorry but the game is in no fit state to release in any form at the moment.
Thank you for the kind words.
Sorry to disappoint.
We don't deny that money was the issue - we simply couldn't afford to work full time on the game any longer. Less ambitious games cost less money to make, generally.
Unfortunately not.
The new boat is still being worked on, just to clarify.
Thank you for the question!
We will try to get on steam if the kickstarter succeeds but we don't know if we will make it on there yet.
Thanks for the comment and don't worry, your English is fine :)
Thank you for the kind words :)
Thank you for supporting!
We've only just begun making the new style art but we will probably do something like that soon.
Thanks for the compliment!
It's a nice idea but it would take far too long I am afraid. Thanks for the interest
The new boat still has a long way to go before it's finished.
Thank you for the kind words!

Haha, yeah the old rocks never really worked well.
There are some concerns with islands that are much larger than the ones we have shown thus far, both in terms of making enough of them fast enough to get variety enough and in terms of making sure NPCs can navigate around them. We will probably take a look at islands again at a later point but for now we are focused on developing other areas of the game. Thanks for the kind words!
Thanks for the feedback.
The clouds are definitely lacking variation, but then again, we are only using three different cloud meshes at the moment. We added them to get an idea of how meshes would fare as clouds compared to the particles that we were initially using.
We will be adding more variation to the cloud shapes and sizes soon.
We want to get as much variation in the islands as possible. We want players to explore the world, so if we can make islands that are varied and interesting, that helps make the world feel varied as well as acting as a pay-off for exploration.
Thanks for the compliment!
Thanks!
Thanks! The wind effect is made with simplex noise - same method we use for the sea actually.
Once you have bought a copy of the game, there is no further expense. No microtransactions of any kind.
Player models, land based combat, boarding actions and pillaging are maybes at this point - we have discussed doing things like that but it depends on a lot of things, including how well the kickstarter goes.
Right now we're focused on making the ship on ship combat. We do have ideas for a lot of stuff we would like in the game, including playermodels and pillaging but at this point we're not certain how much we will have time to actually make.
There's probably a fair number visitors that don't have an account but thanks for clearing that up!
