Issue now fixed with the new version :) Thanks for the quick update.
Any reason why the demo doesnt start for me? If I start it, nothing opens. Trying in a notebook with integrated graphics card and a gt555M, no difference with what I am starting it.
Kudos for fixing it so quickly :) Now I can get around to playing it and trying whether I like the game or not ;) Oh and just in case you want to know, I included the game in my monthly thread series on neogaf: Neogaf.com Unfortunately, not many seem to have tried it so far, but I'll make sure to post some impressions if I liked it.
Just tried again, might not have noticed the first time, but I have sound at least if that helps.
Will the Humble Buyers get Desura keys? :) The Humble version hasnt been updated since september, is that te most recent version?
No sound, it doesnt even react to the graphics settings (windowed/non windowed/resolution) and just gives me a standard windowed black screen at resolution 800*600. It seems like its just a setup window that is supposed to start the game, maybe?
Intel HD 4000 / GT555M
Hey, any reason why starting up the game only shows me a black screen?
Win7, integrated and dedicated graphics, admin mode didnt help either.
Jesus, guys. Stop begging for free keys. There is even a demo (which I highly approve of). Had your game on my radar for a while now because I loved Terraform and featured it in one of the Indie threads I am doing monthly over on neogaf: Neogaf.com Will certainly check out Fortify in the coming month :) Keep on with the great work!
Weird question, but any reason why there is no photo album ingame? I mean its one of the basics of photo games, and I'd love to go through my haul and select some pictures that I really liked and look at them after the dive ingame.
Has someone already asked whether there will be a demo? Because... there totally should be a demo :)
Well good for you that its not a serious issue, but it doesnt hurt to be aware of it I guess. Good luck with this and any future games :)
I just downloaded it on the Desura app and got an error about the game not working, redownloaded the same files via Desura app again and same error. Now I installed the .exe that is available via the website and had the Adobe installer thing running to start that extra file. Once the game installer from the Website was done, the game also started working via the Desura app. Does the website version include a framework installer or something thats not included in the Desura app? Cant provide you with any information anymore either since its working from my app now, but something is still not working correctly apparently.
Hey guys, its almost a month since you posted that and you still havent fixed it. Whats the current state on the issue?
Any plans for a demo? Your game plays really, really well and I'll include it in my next months thread of Indie Games:http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=532236, but usually games with at least a free demo get way more attention.
Yeah, I think that is a tad too naive. I mean I complain about it, but I actually KNOW that I feel like abusing the system to allow for faster card acquisition. The game ALLOWS me to, so I am going to use it and I actually know its wrong and lose the interest in the game. If I get back to it, I will probably do that a few times to improve on my deck before doing earnest matches. Its a mechanic that doesnt seem balanced atm and hinders both sides, the players that feel "cheated" because others got those cards way faster and other players that feel its "useless" to waste more time on the game if you can get these cards that easily. I really like the concept of the game, but that is a major design flaw at the moment.
And I actually really like it so far, but that one thing is completely bugging me out, because it upsets the challenge/reward dynamic.
Ah, that makes sense. But shouldnt there be still a time/turn buffer for that somehow? You can just enter/concede, enter/concede, enter/concede and you won 9 cards within 30 seconds. I mean even a bad player can "earn" cards by playing 10 rounds instead of not even one, right? It would make more sense to give cards for losing if a certain amount of rounds have been achieved at least. 5 turns -> 1 card, 10 turns -> 2 cards, 15 turns -> 3 cards, or however one might want to balance that. I really feel that a certain incentive to at least try would be a good addition to the mechanics. Still good to know that you cant freely win the better cards though.
Why am I winning cards when conceding matches? That sort of breaks the game, doesnt it?
Any plan for a demo?
Yeah, maybe you want to add a disclaimer on the Desura page somewhere what actually is included and what isnt yet :)
I cant seem to find out how to choose any level in the story mode other than the training planet? Clicking on the "?" just changes them to "!"
Not yet included in the Alpha?
You guys still working on it? :) Just asking since you had an update every 10 days before. Also, please make an option to customize the key layout if you hadnt planned that yet. Playing this game on a qwertz keyboard is painful.
