I've learned not to look that deeply into what people say as it's mostly a reflection of themselves. Honesty's an attribute of the truly brave- a privilege of the very few.
Yeah, Star Wars "dying" would have been preferred to what Disney did to it. Besides the EU was doing just fine with novels still being written until Disney pulled the plug on it.
It's certainly not a breath of fresh air. EU was erased in order to create a new profitable one. And it's summarized that Disney solely wanted to start with a clean sheet. On a side note, I'm still waiting for Sword of the Jedi trilogy and KOTOR III that was nearly finished but cancelled at the last minute.
It's disconcerting when what you've seen doesn't quite turn out the way it's supposed to. In essence, when Disney acquired SW and immediately announced a new trilogy, I was hoping to see something similar to The Legacy of the Force series. So, in my mind it played out differently.
I assume most people adore the Mando TV-series. I sincerely hope we'll see Snips and Fett this fall.
As for TCW, it was conceived before Disney's acquisition of SW. To put it mildly, I was a bit sad when they cancelled TCW. I had been waiting patiently for the final season and ultimately we got it. Originally there were supposed to be 8 or 9 seasons in total, but I'm glad we got eventual closure.
Disney is not inherently good or evil. It's about directors and producers you hire to conceive a film or TV-series.

I thought that Star Wars fans were pretty content with Disney's conclusion to the Clone Wars and the Mandalorian, to name just two examples.
