I've learned not to look that deeply into what people say as it's mostly a reflection of themselves. Honesty's an attribute of the truly brave- a privilege of the very few.

It's obvious that Disney discarded the old EU in order to lucratively profit from the new one.
But it's common knowledge that notorious uncle G-L never recognized the old EU as canon, so we actually are free to make our own SW universe. I'm a bit worried that the rift between new Disney and senior fans will never start to shrink. The upcoming trilogy could bring people together and path things up. I'm more of a saddened mediator that merely wants people to enjoy SW again.

I laways kept saying, canon is a rather flexible concept. Fiction deemed canon or non canon does not become more nor less fictious. So long as all copies of EU books were not destroyed and removed from reality of our life and world, they can be considered canon and enjoyed by fans if they just so wish to. That's my opinion.

EU used to be rather firm and cohesive, now it's mandatory and washed out. Disney rewrites and draws upon the old EU. And I find it difficult to get into the Disney canon. I sometimes wonder how one can erase decades of novels, comics and games on a whim.

I sincerely hope they won't tarnish the KO-TOR era. They might use TOR characters in the upcoming SW trilogy though. Darth Bane is presumably the best TOR book series. And it deserves a successful screen adaptation.

But I'm glad we'll see a younger version of Yoda in the near future. It just piqued my interest. Maybe we'll see a darker side of him somewhere along the line.
