Thanks, will try it ASOP - by the way, when is SG 1.1 coming to Desura - i like the idea of desura handling all my updates ;-)
This is absolutely great news <3
Mein Favorit ist ja "Niederreißen" - nicht dass das mal jemand in den falschen Hals bekommt, der da gerade mit seinem Bulldozer vorbei kommt ;-)
The demo is running at 12-15 FPS with all advanced graphic options turned off and drops to 3-4 as soon as you are facing the first enemies - when linux will be natively supported i will give this a second try, because it looks quite promising IMO
When will the linux branch be updated to 2.0?
Will SG1.1rc1 be released on Desura? Sooner or later or not at all? :-D
Well, my PC is going asleep now a little bit - say: my server is offline again. I myself connected from time to time but only once got a short round against another human player - who of course pawned me at once :-P
To cut a long story short - we definetly need more OA-Players around here. Maybe we could arrange something like WoPs "Padday" using the comments or maybe even doodle or something similar to arrange a certain date (and time) when to meet and frag each other online ...
After fixing some issues with my router my server is online now:
!!!!! Join {Desura}OA_Celebrations !!!!!
..... and have fun .....
Maprotation is:
am_lavaarena | ffa
mlctf1beta | ctf
oa_shine | lms
ps37ctf2 | overload
pxlfan | ffa
pul1ctf | Double Domination
am_thornish | Harvester
mlca1 | elimination
ctf_compromise | one flag capture
am_underworks2 | TDM
oa_sago2 | ctf
oa_reptctf11 | elimination
Server will be online until tomorrow morning :-D
Yes, it took quite a while - next time a new version is released, we'll make sure, it arrives a little earlier ;-)
How about celebrating this (re)release by setting up some dedicated servers at the weekend? We could perhaps name them "{desura}whatever_you_like", so people know they are joining other desura players ...
What do you think?
What exactly has to be done to get the new version distributed over Desura? I'm no Gamedeveloper, so i can't really figure out, how much time i would have to spend on maintenance ...
played through the demo - seems to be a really nice game, but it doesn't launch from within the desura client (ubuntu linux 10.04), so you have to open the executable in the terminal. Maybe someone should fix this, shouldn't be too challenging for the developer ...
For me just setting the soundquality to 44khz worked out fine - no installation of any patch neccessary: after closing and restarting the game, sound was playing.

Just in case you are tired of gaming and start reading ... Paul Feyerabend "Conquest of abundance" - a great book of one of my favourite philosophers :-) If you just wanted to know which games i'm playing and what i'm thinking about the games i played ... well just browse through my games and reviews and see it for yourself :-P
