It can be in some respects, means you won't see all the detail on the gun. Don't use it if you are trying to show something off, UNLESS the gun you are showing off is in a battlefield (so basically, there is something going on in the back ground, that would be blurred making the gun stand out)

Well, I still like the blur look.
Much more realistic and such.
But yeah, I can see some obvious downsides to blurring.
