That thread is old but it tells you how to make exclusions for certain files in Windows Defender. It probably marks Bionic as a virus because of the .dll files Unity exports come with. Sorry for the trouble.

Good question. They're sort of placeholders; they work as simple low-poly robots for now. Although it would be a great idea for me to go back and improve models and animations, it would most likely happen much later on, when more core gameplay features are finished.
